Here is what you need to do:
Before starting:
- Make sure your operating system and drivers are up-to-date.

- Make sure Zombi has no corrupted files. To do this make a check of the game integrity with Steam (right click on Zombi, proprieties, Local Files, verify game cache) it will fix any issue automatically.

- Make sure Zombi is set to run in Administrator Mode. To do this, click Zombi in Steam, Proprieties, Local Files, Browse... - it will open the game folder, look for ZOMBI.exe, right click it, proprieties, compatibility, "Run as administrator", apply, close.

Main Fix:
1. Open Uplay (Now called "Ubisoft Connect") and set it to open in OFFLINE mode. To do this click the 3-blue-bars icon on the top left corner, then click Settings, then Network, and tick the box that says "Always start Uplay in offline mode".

2. Disable Uplay's overlay. To do this, go in the settings menu again, then General section, and uncheck the box that says "Enable in-game overlay for supported games".

After doing this close and re-open the program.

That's all. Now launch the game via Steam and it will not crash anymore. Have fun!

If what is said above doesn't work, try this:

Ok i did some more reasarch recently because i saw some people said this method doesn't work for them.

If the method above doesn't work, try completely disconnecting your internet before launching the game. You can do this from "Network Settings" page of Windows and disabling your WIFI or Ethernet (cabled) connection adapter, (right click, disable) and then (enable) again when you stop playing.

This is sort of an extreme solution but may work if the one above doesnt.

Another alternative method:

What I did was to prevent the zombie.exe from having internet access from the windows defender firewall configuration, on advanced settings and from there on the outbound rules section you create a new rule, select program on the new window, next select the zombie.exe from where you installed it and from there you check the block connection option, on the next option check all the boxes and finally and a name to the rule and a description. And whit this you don’t have to disable internet connection every time you want to play it.

ive been trying to fix this for months and its at the point that its pissing me off honestly. ive tried fixing the steam files, ive tried discconecting the internet, hell ubisoft wont even allow me to install ubisoft connect because "ubisoft connect is open" even tho i don't have connect even installed hence why i'm trying to install it.

Just disabling the game executable's outgoing connection through Windows firewall settings did the trick for me, otherwise it was crashing right after the company logos.
