fire ice is REQ: for even get nominated for "best seeds", deut fracin is a pain.
PLacement of deadstars/white dwarfes matters too.

Starting seeds? So people find this "guide", start playing in a pretty good system but after hours find out that the cluster sucks? That's a very mean way to waste people's time and you do not even gain something from it. That's malicious.

@Cerberus136 The spawn *planet* never has silicon or titanium in any seed. This is to encourage exploration, and I don't believe it's possible for the spawn *system* to lack silicon and titanium. You're fine, this is normal gameplay.

If you're struggling to conquer other planets, tech up. I finished all available red science before leaving my spawn planet.

Just a note/recommendation/FYI to anyone coming here looking for good seeds with the dark fog update: be wary of starting planets that are missing resources - even if a nearby planet in the same solar system has some/plenty of said missing resources.

I picked a seed from here (33420870 or 86621388, I forget which) that looked great on the surface - however the starting planet completely lacks silicon and titanium while also having very little copper. Furthermore, I can see the dark fog swarm in the solar system constantly traveling between itself and the gas giant I need access too and the closest planet with all my silicon and more copper. I'm sure there's a way to get these resources without murdering all of dark fog in the solar system first, but unless you're a DSP expert be wary of what may have previously been considered 'great' seeds in your first dark fog runs.

Try 86621388. It has an O-type star with a luminosity index of 2.5, which is the highest I've ever gotten

So whats so good about the Golden Ratio seed? Is there an advantage to the 1:2 orbital resonance?
