Play OSRS on Steam with RuneLite without replacing any files

Windows operating systems only

[!] Make sure you have downloaded and installed RuneLite on your PC first (while also ensuring you downloaded it directly from RuneLite.NET - as there are many fake phishing sites disguised as RuneLite with the sole purpose of hijacking your account or even IRL bank accounts).

1. Go to your Steam library, right click on 'Old School RuneScape' and go to 'Properties'.

2. Under 'General' -> 'Launch Options', copy-paste the following:

"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\RuneLite\RuneLite.exe" %command%

You need to replace USERNAME above with your Windows username.

3. That's it, launching OSRS should now open RuneLite instead.

If your steam status isn't being updated with you playing Old School Runescape try restarting your PC.

@Hi Im Swat, I think not since the Jagex Launcher - but you could open that instead with this parameter instead: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Jagex Launcher\JagexLauncher.exe" %command%

I've read on the other guide I can start a steam client and it wil give me the achievements I've earned. Is it right?

Has anyone found a fix to RuneLite saying you need to sign in with Jagex Launcher? Using the file path below me works but then you're not actually playing through steam.

For the jagex launcher
