Corruption 20 Party Set-up
  1. Frostmancer - The backline DPS hero
  2. Druid - The off-tank and main healer combination
  3. Juggernaut - The main tank
  4. Paladin - The off-tank
This is the party set-up for corruption 20. This difficulty requires a bit of luck for you to win but is the fastest way of completing it.
Frostmancer
Frostmancer is the main damage dealer. An item oriented build will be prioritized for this hero, as it has the fastest kill time compared to any other heroes if built correctly.

Avalanche
Bonus: None
Passive: When you attack, if your target has 10 Frost, remove all Frost and deal 350%/700%/1050% Attack Damage to your target and any adjacent enemies. Unique
This item is a guaranteed win if you get it. As it allows you to quickly clear groups of enemies and kill bosses fast. Always get this item if it is available.
Shard of the Deep
Bonus: None
Passive: At the start of combat, gain 15/30/45 Frail Attack and 15%/30%/45% Frail Speed. Protected. Unique.
The best item for any backline DPS heroes in your party so always get it when it is available. This item synergizes well with Frostmancer Passive Ability and the item Avalanche.
Sleetstone Sabre
Bonus: +5/10/15 ATK and +5%/10%/15% SPD
Passive: Your Attacks have 50% chance to both apply Frost and deal 3/6/9 Piercing damage for each stack of Frost on your target.
This item synergizes well with Frostmancer Passive Ability and the item Avalanche. It is a good early game item but can be replaced with Bound Elements if you are planning to fully upgrade all items equipped by Frostmancer.

Warlord's Burden
Bonus: None
Passive: At the start of combat, take Piercing damage equal to 50% of your max HP. Gain 20/40/60 Attack and 15%/30%/45% Speed.
A slightly better alternative to Shard of the deep but is risky to use, as healers tend to prioritize the lowest health hero it would ignore the tank for a few seconds which could make or break the encounter.
Bound Elements
Bonus: +10%/20%/30% SPD
Passive: Every 3/2/1 times you Attack, apply Frost and a Burn for 75% Attack Damage over 10 seconds to your target.
This item synergizes well with Frostmancer Passive Ability and the item Avalanche when fully upgraded. Get this item if you are planning to upgrade it to max, if not choose Sleetstone Sabre instead.
Druid
This hero is the main healer, An active ability Build will be prioritized for this hero. Out of all the healers in the game, by far Druid is the best. His healing ability can stack over each other, so the more he activates his ability the more healing and damage that hero will get.

Notes
Charging Pylon
Bonus: +50/100/150 HP
Passive: Every 3 seconds, lose 10%/20%/30% Speed and grant 5%/10%/15% Speed to all adjacent allies. Unique.
This item is powerful, give it to your Druid since we are relying on his active ability more. This item boosts heroes by a significant degree and boosts item synergy of adjacent heroes. Get this item when it is available.
Mana Spring Amulet
Bonus: +50/100/150 HP
Passive: Gain 20%/40%/60% more MP per second. Unique.
Since we are going to rely on the Druid's active ability this item is important so always get it when it is available.
Symbiote
Bonus: +50/100/150 HP
Passive: Reduce the cost of your Active Ability by 3/6/9 each time it is used.
Since we are going to rely on the Druid's active ability this item is important so always get it when it is available.

Elaborate Manuscript
Bonus: None
Passive: Gain 50%/100%/150% more MP per second. Unique. Increase the cost of Active Ability by 5 each time it is used.
A better item compared to Mana Spring Amulet but it is a risky item to use. Its good for short fights but on longer fights you run the risk of losing. Only get this item if you have Symbiote.
Juggernaut
Juggernaut is the main tank. This hero has the highest chance of survivablity when paired with the right items and the heroes Druid and Paladin. Against elites and bosses the chances of him dying is low and even against 6 enemies targeting him, he can take a beating.

Notes
Frozen Shell
Bonus: +15/30/45 DEF
Passive: Increases your Defense by 1/2/3 for every active stack of Frost. Protected.
Since we are using Frostmancer, this item will boost the survivability of our tanks which is important for both early game and end game. Get it when it is available.
Saint's Vow
Bonus: +100/200/300 HP
Passive: Increases your Max HP by 10/20/30 per second. Does not increase your current HP. Unique.
Most heals in the game are percent based so increasing the max HP of your heroes increases that healing effect. This item synergizes well with Juggernauts passive ability and Druid's active ability. Get it when it is available.
Holy Charm
Bonus: +100/200/300 HP
Passive: Healing received is increased by 15%/30%/45%.
Helps with survivability and synergizes well with any healing abilities or items. Get it when it is available.

Notes
Stone Heart
Bonus: -100% Speed
Passive: At the start of combat, gain 200/400/600 Frail Max HP. Degrades at twice the normal rate of Frail. Protected.
An alternative for Saint's Vow, don't be discouraged towards the negative speed. As I've said before more HP means more healing. In fact this increases Juggernaut's survivability even more especially in the second and third stage of the game.
Paladin
Paladin is the Off-Tank and the 4th hero to get after clearing the first stage. His job is to survive when the main tank dies and give enough time for backline heroes to kill enemies.

Odd Bean
Bonus: +50/100/150 HP
Passive: Instead of being knocked out, heal 20%/40%/60% Max HP and remove all negative effects. Can only activate once per combat.
This item is good for any tanks but juggernaut already has a way to sustain himself with his passive ability while paladin does not, so its best to give this item to the Paladin. Get this item when it is available.
Mystical Fruit
Bonus: None
Passive: Attack and Active Ability damage you take has a 12%/24%/36% chance to be prevented.
Good for any tanks and since Paladin does not have a reliable ability to sustain himself this item will increase his survivability, Do not upgrade this if you have not upgraded your DPS hero and main tank.

Champion's Guard
Bonus: +50/100/150 DEF and +5/10/15 ATK
Passive: Your Attacks increase defense by 2/4/6.
A good item for Paladin if Charging Pylon is obtained, and scales really well compared to other tank items. Can replace Frozen Shell or Mystical Fruit.
Assassin
The Assassin is the 5th hero to be chosen after clearing the 2nd stage. Due to his innate Hidden ability his job is to support other heroes by either increasing there damage or make them survive longer.

Crag Cleaver
Bonus: +50/100/150 HP
Passive: Your Attacks reduce your target's Defense by 2/4/6.
This item allows you to deal more damage to enemies and very useful for prolonged fights against elites or bosses.
God Breaker
Bonus: None
Passive: Your Attacks deal an additional 20/40/60 Piercing damage to your target and all adjacent enemies. Any enemies damaged by this item have a 20%/40%/60% to be stunned for 1 second.
This item is powerful and will help you survive longer on normal fights. It can even be used on Frostmancer if Avalanche never drops. Get this item if you don't have Avalanche and equip it on Assassin when you do get Avalanche.
General Items
These are items that can be equipped on any hero if they have an open item slot or if no primary items are dropping for that hero.

Fenrir's Blade
Bonus: +10/20/30 ATK
Passive: At the start of combat, deal 150% Attack damage to all enemies and apply 2/3/4 Frost.
A good item, it allows you to survive longer against groups of enemies because of the Frost debuff, it can stack with other Fenrir's Blade and extremely good if Avalanche is obtained which deals massive damage early in the fight once Avalanche is triggered.
Tundra Talisman
Bonus: +15/30/45 Starting MP
Passive: Apply 1/2/3 Frost to all enemies every 3 seconds.
An extremely powerful item if Avalanche is obtained, you can clear the game in around 15 mins if you obtained the right items early in the game. It even stacks with other Tundra Talismans.
Normal Strategy
Early Game:
  • Go for battles, as you can gain more items and gold doing them, but try to be conscious of your heroes and see if they can survive with the items and potions you have on.
  • Try to avoid the top or center paths of the first stage map if possible, because it has the hardest fights to go through when near the end of the first stage.
  • Fight all the bosses in the first stage if possible.
  • Prioritize getting items for Juggernaut if possible, but if primary items for other heroes are obtainable then get them.
  • Get at least 1 DPS item for Frostmancer if possible.
  • Do not be afraid to use potions on normal fights especially on higher corruption levels.
  • Losing a battle is fine, it is the reason why we have the morale system. So try to utilize it when possible.

Mid Game:
  • Try to avoid the top and bottom paths of the second stage map, because it has the hardest enemies to defeat even in the early levels of it.
  • At this point try to prioritize getting items for Frostmancer but if primary items for other heroes are available then get them.
  • The second stage is the best place to get early upgrades for items, so prioritize upgrading the items of your tank or DPS hero if possible.
  • Be conscious of elites and final boss of the second stage. Elites are easier to deal with but if you are against the top final boss of the second stage map, then pray to RNGesus for good items. But in general if you do get the 3 enemy boss fight, kill the middle and top first, then bottom.
  • Do not be afraid to use potions on normal fights especially on higher corruption levels.
  • Losing a battle is fine, it is the reason why we have the morale system. So try to utilize it when possible.

End Game:
  • Try to avoid middle and bottom paths of the third stage, because they have annoying enemies that gives powerful debuffs on your heroes.
  • At this point its all about upgrading or getting more items for your heroes. So try to upgrade your Frostmancer or Juggernaut items if possible. If you still have extra gold try upgrading your healer too.
  • Be conscious of some of the elites and normal battles if you can survive them, as for the final boss on the third stage they are easy kill at that point.
  • Do not be afraid to use potions on normal fights especially on higher corruption levels.
  • Losing a battle is fine, it is the reason why we have the morale system. So try to utilize it when possible.
Corruption 19 Win
Here is an example of why this team and build is so strong. From the image below, the Assassin doesn't even have items, the druid only has one primary item fully upgraded, the Paladin does not have any items upgraded, while our Frostmancer is dealing 9000+ damage dealt against the final boss of the game, and with a clear time of 24 minutes and 33 seconds.
Corruption 20 Strategy
Early Game:
  • Choose Frostmancer and Druid as your first pick. Frostmancer as your backline DPS and Druid as your tank.
  • Go for battles for the first 5 levels of the first stage, grab any items that are usable on your heroes, don't go for gold as you need as much help you can get during the early game.
  • Pick your fights and try to avoid the top and center paths of the first stage map if possible, because it has the hardest enemies to defeat when nearing the end of the first stage.
  • Choose which elites you are going to fight see if you can survive them with the items you currently have
  • Upgrade both the passive and active ability of your Druid in the first stage if possible.
We need to make sure he survives before our main tank arrives.
  • Do not be afraid to use potions on normal fights on corruption 20.
  • Losing a battle is fine, it is the reason why we have the morale system. So try to utilize it when possible.

Mid Game:
  • Get Juggernaut as your third hero. Give him all the tanky items you gained from the first stage then make him your main tank if it is possible.
  • Pick your fights and try to avoid the top and bottom paths of the second stage map, because it has the hardest enemies to defeat even in the early levels of it.
  • At this point try to prioritize getting items for Frostmancer and Druid because they ensure your survivability. Druid becomes an off-tank at this point and his job is to survive if the main tank dies so that Frostmancer can dish enough damage to kill the enemy.
  • Do not be afraid to use potions on normal fights especially on corruption 20.
  • Losing a battle is fine, it is the reason why we have the morale system. So try to utilize it when possible.

End Game:
  • Get Paladin as your fourth hero. His job is to both tank and seperate enemy targeting if your enemies are split into 2 groups. In most cases he is a sacrifice, he dies so that our main tank can survive longer while Frostmancer tries to kill the enemy.
  • Be conscious of some of the elites and normal battles if you can survive them, as for the final boss on the third stage you can only pray to RNGesus for good items.
  • Do not be afraid to use potions on normal fights especially on corruption 20.
  • Losing a battle is fine, it is the reason why we have the morale system. So try to utilize it when possible.
Corruption 20 Win
If we compare this to the Corruption 19 win, there is almost no difference at all.

If you pick up bandit hood along the way Illusionist as last character is an absolute beast for damage because he fills the rest of the area he is in alone with mirrors of himself all dealing damage

Really solid guide. Went from struggling through the first 3 or so Corruption levels over 2 nights to just steaming through to Corruption 7 in a few runs. Frostmancer + Avalanche really is broken lol.

Why noone mentions Gladiator as best healer? With Life Giving Chamber and 1 or 2 Heroes Sigils no other healer comes near because his heal is global and his shields are 1000 k + for the 3 adjacent. Makes a lot of combs viable if you wanna try. Ofc you have to max his passive before all that. I normally get him in act 2.
Deso 12 Jul, 2022 @ 2:32pm
Brawler seems a superior pick to paladin, given the items and lack of burning and shield synergy all around.
Ftsy 15 May, 2022 @ 6:17pm
Change the paladin to literally any other hero to makes this team better. The odd bean is the best item to have on the jug. If you know you are going to take the assassin last you might as well pick it up first and let your last choice of hero's be determined by the items you find along the way. The Fallen is S tier if you get the helm of the mad king. Mana drain is a ridiculously strong strat, robes of absorption and witch stick basically silence an enemy and it has no resistance like stun or silence.
Assassin, Frostmancer, Tank is the best start build, Druid, Jug or Brawler for the tank. If you want to go for a run with no healer choose the brawler. This team starts off needy for passive orbs but it is pretty much a guaranteed win at any corruption.

I reached corruption 11 by my own and was stuck at 12, so I checked the forum, and this was the best build ive ever used.

Thanks a ton for the guide, gave me a solid strategy to beat the game.

As an alternative to Druid in the early Corruption stages, I've found Cleric is pretty solid. Great guide though, thanks for the tips. Frostmancer is OP!
Slime_Borg 5 Jun, 2021 @ 8:50am
Great party build, surprisingly strong.
Medieval 18 May, 2021 @ 3:42pm
I'd say for those without Druid early game, Warlock is a good unit. Double symbiote and lich gloves plus a fully upgraded ability means he pumps out aoe heals constantly plus damage.
