The devs messed with the cloud saves in update v0.790 and broke it. you can "fix" it by disabling the steam cloud in your game launch options.

local saves are more recent then cloud saves, the fact its saying that the saves are not compatible might be cause the cloud save being accessed is from an outdated game version or its corrupted.

if it was corrupted I dont think it was from the mods

I followed your instructions and I was able to download a bunch of mods from Nexus files, but now my computer says that "Local files" are not compatible with "Steam Cloud files." Do you know what might be causing this?

subscribed to thread. on a general note I think this game has a lot of potential; only goes up from here folks. I'd personally love to see some more done with the combat/enemies/encounters.
