Enter the Properties menu and hit the controller tab
Despite Steam's controller support working with the game, it actually has native support for flight peripherals after an update. However, this conflicts with Steam's controller support.

Disable Steam Input
It's really that simple and undocumented. Note that I have not tested this with anything other than the Thrustmaster T160000M and TWCS Throttle.

Afterword
You will still get Xbox controller prompts and I'm leaving it up to you to figure out which button does what function, but it should work in game.

Here are the official configs for the three officially supported sticks and/or throttles. I know for a fact the TWCS throttle works here as well. Try to infer based on these configs. If not, there's guides other than mine on how to configure your stuff in cfg files.

Sorry for the late reply, didn't get notified. I don't think it should affect your other game settings as long as you disable Steam controller input specifically for this game alone.

Wow, thanks! Will these settings throw off my Xplane layout? I'm unfamiliar with the deck and just spent the past two hours figuring it out.
