This is a brief to the point guide to access PHOTO MODE in NFS Heat PC [Keyboard + Mouse].

NOTE: This guide is only suitable for keyboard + mouse players.

Need For Speed Heat Photo Mode using Keyboard and Mouse

Enter photo mode in NFS Heat PC using Keyboard + Mouse
  1. Go to windows > settings > Ease of Access > Interaction > Keyboard
    • Scroll down to Print Screen Shortcut and turn off Use the Prt Scn button to open screen snipping
    • Close settings.
  2. Launch NFS Heat and enter the game.
    • Travel to your desired location.
    • Now press and hold the Prt Sc key on your keyboard for 10-15 seconds, you will enter the photo mode.
    • If you don't enter the photo mode, don't worry, no need to panic or restart the game. This is a glitch that you will have to deal with throughout the game.
    • Just hit Tab, this open the menu. Now hit Esc and you will be back where you were.
    • Again press and hold the Prt Sc key on your keyboard for 10-15 seconds, this time you will definately enter the photo mode.
    • Happy clicking.
  3. You can browse the photos from the in game explorer and post them on the Heat community.
  4. To access the files on your computer navigate to
    • C:\Users\<your_username>\Documents\Need for Speed Heat\Screenshots

NOTE: The photo mode works on all game modes; online/offline, day/night.

I have never personally used a keyboard with a Prt Syr key instead of a Prt Sc key as you mentioned but your issue is quite interesting as I found out after purchasing a 60% keyboard that they don't have a Prt Sc key at all. So, for all the users who don't have a Prt Sc key on their keyboard you can use a registry editing tool like sharpkeys [github.com] and re-assign an un-used key on your keyboard to the Prt Sc key. I personally re-mapped the Option Key (whose function is basically that of a rightclick and I never use it) to Prt Sc key on my 60% keyboard and it's working normally like a Prt Sc key works on a full sized keyboard for windows and in the game accessibilities.

Sooooo.... what if you don't have the Prt Sc, and you have Prt Syr? is it the same thing as Prt Sc, because I've used Prt Syr before and it works for screenshots.

why do you need the documents folder of need for speed heat? The screenshots taken by steam overlay are stored in steam's directory.
check here: Steam\userdata\<User ID>\760\remote\<App ID>\screenshots

turn off overlay (I think ctrl was the toggle button) and use F12 to take screenshots, this way the screenshots will appear in your steam library and you will be able to share it on the steam community :LightningNfsunbound:
