Installing this game on new hardware sometimes causes the drivers to conflict with newer ones and not be installed. Hence you have to manually install some legacy drivers.

If you are having the 'Unhandled exception has occurred in your application...'. There is a simple fix. You need to download and install two things.

1) DirectX
  • Go to your steam installation folder
  • Go to Game folder
  • Go to 'redist'
  • Go to 'DirectX'
  • Scroll down to 'DXSETUP' and install it.
2) PhysX (Legacy)
Visit PhysX Legacy Download Page [www.nvidia.com] and Install it.

Run the game in administrator mode.

Edit1: Oggy-Maus's comment translated using Google Translate "If after this procedure with PhysX you still get an error and the game does not start, try installing DirectX, specifically I installed DirectX version 9.29.1974.1 after that the game started. But before that I installed PhysX."

Если после данной процедуры с PhysX у вас всеровно вылазит ошибка, игра не запускается, попробуйте установить DirectX, конкретно я установил версию DirectX 9.29.1974.1 после этого игра запустилась. Но перед этим установил PhysX.
