Most people here know who Nermal is but for those who don't. Nermal is a gray male tabby cat. He is the smaller, more devious, and conniving variant of Garfield. Nermal often makes you angry in the cartoons because of his nature. Having to interact with him in a game where you compete with him in a race is most infuriating. Being sabotaged or beat in a race strikes a nerve and is why I'm making this guide.

Nermal doesn't have any special abilities or buffs that give him an advantage over the other characters. His stats even mimics Squeaks. The way Nermal looks and talks already makes someone feel angry. When Nermal throws a pie at you near the finish or sabotages you in a way that impacts your outcome in a race, it may trigger you to call Nermal a racial slur. Sometimes the trigger even happens at random. Even just being close to Nermal can trigger the response.

Calling anyone a racial slur is a bad habit. You don't want to be yelling racial slurs out of rage especially around friends, family, in a live stream, etc. Here are some ways to prevent calling Nermal racial slurs. Keep in mind that there is no single magic solution. I selected a variety of possible solutions. Some work better than others and may even require practice. It sounds hard but that's just what Nermal does he gets into your head and makes things so difficult.

The root of calling Nermal a racial slur is usually anger. Keeping a level head and controlling verbal anger can decrease racial slur usage. It's the most reliable method but needs to be practiced the most. This skill takes time but may naturally develop by itself as you grow up.

Ignorance is bliss they say. This is one of the cheaper tricks but it can get the job done. Develop a mindset where Nermal is unrecognizable. Blurring your vision by squinting or losing focus on the subject. It may not work for most players because it puts you at a disadvantage when playing but works well for a family night.

Not letting the anger build up to become a racial slur is a decent strategy. Before the anger becomes overwhelming caused by Nermal's constant stress on the player you can remove some of that anger by saying something else less hateful such as a curse word or even a grunt. This ties in with the first method.

This one is a sort of a cheap trick as well but is much more reliable than the second method. If you hold your breath, grit your teeth, and flex, it makes a physical barrier between you and what comes out of your mouth. Having that physical barrier can make your mind not require the slur. Constant stress from the methods is exhausting to be pulling off consistently. Do it only when needed
