I'm glad you got it to work!
I don't play the multiplayer and never have, I only play the single player campaign. I'm glad you got the game working though.
Enjoy!
Okay, I'll try to help in a little more detail. When you open your registry editor, look up at the top left. There should be 5 tabs that you can click on (File, Edit, View, Favorites, and Help).
Click on the "Edit" tab, and within that tab once it is opened, click on "Find". Alternatively, you can also press Ctrl + F once you're in the windows registry editor.
Now, simply look for this line:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\reality pump\TwoWorlds2
You can simply copy and paste that in the "Find" field. To make it easier, also make sure that keys, values, and data all have a checkmark next to them when using the "Find" tool.
If you do this, and if you have installed Two Worlds II properly, you should be able to locate that specific registry entry. Then, look at this guide and follow the instructions right below where it says: "Now Do This:"
Hopefully that helps solve your issue. Let me know how it goes.
Do you have the Steam version of Two Worlds II?
If you have installed the Steam version then you simply need to run Regedit (Windows Registry Editor) and then follow the above guide. It's a good idea to keep this guide open when you're attempting to do this, that way you do not miss anything while completing each of the steps involved.
Not everyone is familiar with using the Windows Registry Editor, so I tried to be as detailed an descriptive as possible.
If you do follow the steps above, you should be able to find the proper registry key which is:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\reality pump\TwoWorlds2
(This is not a Windows Folder, it is a windows registry entry, and can only be accessed by using your Windows Registry Editor - normally just called regedit.exe)
Once you do find the registry entry, just follow the guide carefully and you should have no problems.
Let me know if you how it goes or if there are any problems.
Thank you for the kind words. You are right though, the community does matter. I did try to use other peoples guides because they were on the right track, however, I didn't want to use a patch or any 3rd party software in order to play a game that I already paid for. I'm just glad this guide was able to help others out.
Cheers!
You're Welcome!
