Now Fleet Liaison is a long range unit, that attack with fighter strafing run instead of pistol.
With the long range attack, attack move command not longer make her charging ahead, and the strafing run do huge damage to a single enemy no matter the armor type, which also reliably stun what it didn't killed.
It's now feel like a middle range sniper that spam crippling shot automatically. Making the "only one allow" limit more reasonable.
Also I think E-pulse troopers and fire mechs are actually more useful than described here.
E troopers' 3-star damage compensates for its range and it's even better on brutal than on normal (damage really is not a concern for normal) difficulty. I would usually keep an engineer squad for suppression, and deploy E troopers for the kill. They're also the best hopper killer imo simply due to high damage (very useful in mission 16).
Fire mech is excellent at suppressing warriors and tigers (which incidently are also the most common bugs) so it's always good to have one (but only one tho) in a mech army. Most useful in mission 18. Plus who wouldn't want to have bugs roasted :)
Yep, it's good, because you always have reinforse. But Radio Operators have intresting ability too, propaganda that increases the firing rate of ALL units in the area. What gives flexibility: bugs go in a line? Call in an air strike on them! Bugs coming at them from different directions? No problem, build around the Radio Operators and increase the rate of fire.
