Try the following;

Game is forcing 4:3 resolution which is causing the issue.
Right click on Assemble With Care on your Steam library, select properties, then in general tab click on launch options, and add the following;
appears to fix the problem.

You can set whatever resolution value you'd like in that launch option.
E.g.
for a 1920x1080 resolution
