It kind of stinks building everything at the Teladis, I feel like leaving one factory every sector or every couple of sectors is better for navigating/always getting more money. Otherwise you always have to come back to Seizewell to get your money, which takes a lot of time if you're for example in Paranid sectors.
I don't want to leave the game running alone for 1h to get money, just dilluting around where you place your factories might work better.
I am currently with 2 Teladianium Foundries, one in seizewell, and one in Family Zein. I just bought a silicon mine at seizewell because every guide online tells to do it, but it might really not be worth it.
I saw a video online of someone recommending to buy a Snail Ranch. But I can't fathom how to make that profitable, given the resources it needs. Can someone explain to me?
Another map update: there is a Space Equipment Dock at Teladi's CEO's Buckzoid, for some reason every map online is missing it.
---
Some additions for anyone reading:
- "do not have to pay him back" If you leave the sector without paying him back don't the Teladi mark you as a pirate and become your enemy.
- "buy nostrop oil and sell it to the chip plants." There's one in Seizwell as well, and the factories buy it, too.
-- "You only really need 12 engine tunings ..." for late game I'm at 17 upgrades and still can't match speed with the X2 destroyers without using the afterburners.
-- If one wants to automate making profit early: 2 Ore Mines (not Silicon Mines, the local market is saturated) can be profitable in Seizwell, also. There are 3 high-ore asteroids in Seizwell.
-- For the map: Ore Belt is missing the pirate base. It's hard to find compared to the others; quite a ways north of the North Gate.
