Before we begin...

I am not an expert in computers and whatnot. This is just something that I did and it worked so I wanted to share it. The main idea is to reduce your frame rates as from what I have noticed, most people who encountered this problem had beyond 60hz monitor.

The alt+tab

This seems to work, alt+tab until you are unstuck. Not the most sustainable method though as in the future chapter, there will be a section that you have to push cubes around alot which would be really annoying to alt+tab

Update : Shift+tab(enable Steam overlay) also works

Reduce the refresh rate

I am using window 11 so the steps may be different for others.
Press start (The window button) then type in "display", click on "change the resolution of the display" > Advanced display > Choose a refresh rate > change it to 60HZ

This is the one that fix the problem for me so do this and you won't be stuck ever again.

Screen tearing

Congrats! Now you (hopefully) fixed the ladder issue. But now you may be having an issue with screen tearing. If you don't mind it, ignore this section. But if it does, I assume that you are using a gaming pc (or notebook) which comes with a "companion application" to configure your graphic cards settings eg. NVIDIA RTX Experience. Basically, use the setting that focus on saving power or energy. This will reduce your fps but should fix the screen tearing issue.

I've already told them at launch about the failure to add a vsync option is the reason they have these bugs and also if you push too hard to the walls it also has the same issue of getting stuck. Been quite a while now and only real fix is to go completely around the game and set a forced fps lock in the video card settings depending on which one you have to cap it to no higher than 90fps which seems to be the max threshold of the physics engine they use.

Alt-tabbing only works if you're using 1 monitor on your system. More than 1 monitor makes this no longer work.
