Description
What is this spreadsheet for?
This sheet is best used for building your ideal ship and hopefully save you some time, headaches, and credits while doing it.

How do I use it?
  • Find the "Selected for Build" checklist column on the "Ship Modules" tab.
  • Check the boxes of the modules you want for your build.
  • Select the filter on "Selected for Build" and unpick "FALSE" to see your shopping list.
  • Scroll to the far right to find where to purchase the selected modules.
  • Come back here and leave me some feedback if it helped or constructive criticism if it needs to be improved.

What information does this include?
  • All sales kiosks and NPCs selling ship modules and ships.
NOTE: The module list includes quest locked items and how to get them.
  • Ranking for all NPCs and kiosks.
  • Highly detailed information and specifications on all ship modules.
  • Ranking of ship modules by type and ways to sort them to your liking.
  • ALL pre-made ships in the game with detailed information and specifications.
NOTE: The pre-made ship list includes quest locked ships and how to get them.
NOTE: I have done some data-mining to discover all the pre-made ships in the game. I have included the Free Quest Ships, Free to Board, For Sale, as well as NPC ships, Unavailable Ships, and even "Do Not Use" Ships that don't appear in game but are in code. I'm still getting data on a few of the harder to find ships but all other tabs are complete.

May I copy or use this sheet as my own?
Feel free to copy this spreadsheet to your own Google Drive or use it to make your own. I do not own any of this information as it is all public domain and anyone with enough time and determination could make the same sheet as mine. If any of the data changes in future balancing updates or DLC, I will do my best to update the sheet. Please let me know if you find any typos or errors. The sheet is a work in progress.

Where can I find this spreadsheet?
You can find the link to the Google Sheet here: Spreadsheets in Space[docs.google.com]

Thanks for catching that Drake. I will update those number when I get home tis evening.

btw the Stroud 3x1 all-in-one has a mass of 10 instead of the listed 5, thought I was going to be able to save a bit of mass with it but nope

Tho... the [Engine Mass at Max Engines]... shouldn't that be (12/power)*mass instead of power*mass? Eg a 2 power engine ought to be a 6*mass rather than 2*mass since you'd be using 6 of them...

TYVM! :D

Also note that the amount of beds in a habitation does not have any correlation to the amount of passengers or crew it supports. It is merely cosmetic.

That makes sense. I added all the fields you requested. The engines are now sorted by the ones that have the most ship mass to engine at the top. I also changed the habitation text so that it is easier to sort by type.

As another example of why I think this extra value is useful; a full set of SAL-6110 Engines allow for a ship of mass 1846 - sounds good right? But just the mass of those engines is 1800 leaving only 46 mass for EVERYTHING else which actually makes them the worst engines you could use.
Drake Ravenwolf 26 Nov, 2023 @ 2:50pm
Yes, but the mass of the engine degrades the listed value; eg a full set of SAL-6830 Engines wold have 1980 mass of the listed value already filled by the mass of the engines themselves. The only way to see how much extra mass the engines allow for is to do the calculation: Current Value-((12/power)*mass)

Thank you. That max number is the mass at which the maneuverability begins to drop from 100%. You can certainly go much higher with the mass if you want to. I will try and get those updated done this evening when I have some time. Happy holidays to you all! 💚

Another value that might be useful... ([Max Ship Mass to Keep 100 Manu.] minus the total mass of that engine type) to only see the EXTRA mass it allows for
