This guide is designed to provide clarity on basic game mechanics and give insight into how to maximize your results when choosing items and making decisions.

Use the Table of Contents on the right side to find the appropriate section for you. 👉

Below are some abbreviations I will be using throughout this guide:

Item Name

Pirate Bandage
PB
Pirate First Aid
PFA
Small First Aid
SFA
Health 💖
Maximum health is 100. All hitboxes share the same single health pool.

Damage Formula
[(Shot Damage - Armour) x # of Projectiles] x Limb Multiplier = Damage Dealt
previewimg]
The HP percentage shown is the ratio of your current HP to current max HP. 👆
ie. If you have 30 pain, 70/70 HP will show as 100% HP.

You can increase your current HP by consuming any food or medical items 👇

Pain 🤕
Pain reduces your maximum health.

Current Max Health = 100 - Pain
Whenever you receive damage from any source, a percentage
of that damage is converted into pain.

Pain Formula
Damage Received x 0.1175 = Pain gained
This is shown as the white portion on your health bar.
You can heal pain with any drugs or an LFA:

Stamina 🏃‍♂️
Maximum stamina is 100.

Stamina is consumed when sprinting, jumping, and when you ADS.
Stamina naturally regenerates over time.

Your character will perform a heavy breathing sound cue when stamina bar reaches ~20%.

 Drugs
Chocolate spice, spice and meth can be used to "pause" your stamina consumption for X amount of time. This gives you unlimited stamina for X duration, and prevents your stamina from regenerating until X duration elapses.

Fatigue 😰
Fatigue reduces your maximum stamina.

Current Max Stamina = 100 - Fatigue

Whenever you consume stamina, a percentage of that is converted into fatigue.
(jumping does not produce fatigue).

This is displayed as the white portion on your stamina bar.
You can instantly recover fatigue with food or water.

Status Effects 🔼
Healing 🩹

Whenever you consume an item that heals your health or pain, you receive the Healing status effect.

You cannot consume any healing items until the healing effect ends.

You can cancel healing by pressing Fire once.

Bleeding 🩸

Whenever you receive bullet damage, you have a chance to receive the Bleeding status effect.

Different guns/ammo types have different bleed chances. Bleeding does 3 damage/second for 60 seconds and stops dealing damage at 10% HP.

Bleeding can only be stopped with a bandage, SFA or LFA. Food/drugs will not stop the bleeding.

Other Status Effects

There are currently no other status effects. When or if more get added, I will add them to this section.
Armour, Helmets & Shields 🧥

Helmets and armour can have up to 2 values displayed in the top left of the icon.

*All helmets & armour have Armour Protection,
but only a handful of them have Blast Protection.

🔵Armour Rating reduces incoming damage by 1 per point.

🔴Blast Protection reduces explosion damage by 10 per point, and bombardments while in disabled ships by 1 per point(may need correction). Critical hits on ships currently do not affect the player.

Bombardment Damage Formula
Turret Damage - Blast Protection = Damage Dealt

*There is no reduction for Explosive Barrel damage

Shields
There are 4 weapons with shields that completely block bullets when hit:

None of these will lose durability when hit by bullets, shells, melee or bombardment.
The Small & Heavy Shields only lose durability when you land a melee attack.
Durability 🔨

** Sawed Off & Double Barrel reduces durability by 1 per 1 shell

Examples
- A Leather Jerkin can take 10 bullets before breaking.
- An STG-44 can shoot 300 bullets before breaking.

Acquiring Meds 🎒
Meds are obtained in the following ways:
  • Traders (food, bandages, aspirin and SFAs)
  • Crafting (PBs and PFAs)
  • Looting containers (medical bags, medical crates, salvaging, vending machines, salvage).

*SFAs can be bought at vending machines for 1 copper coin each (3 per machine).

You can also collect disinfectant to craft PBs & PFAs. They are found in
*common containers and salvage and stack up to 3. (shown on right 👉)
⠀(*garbage bags/cans, cardboard/wooden boxes, file cabinets, end tables)

Should I buy, craft or loot meds?
  • Trading will be your main source.
  • Crafting PBs and PFAs can be an effective way to increase your storage efficiency in future raids, plus they heal slightly more than their original counterparts.
  • Looting is the best method to get high tier items like LFAs, meth and spice.

Important Tips & Info ❕
  • Press middle mouse over a consumable to quick-use the item.

  • You can cancel healing by pressing Fire once. There will be a short animation before you recover your ability to shoot. Holding Aim while pressing Fire will not cancel healing.

  • You recover stamina significantly faster while crouched and when stationary. Do both together to maximize stamina regen. This does not work with grenades or while unarmed.

  • Fall damage is very minimal. Use this to your advantage to create escape/flank routes your enemies will not expect.

  • For your med loadout, I suggest:
    - 4-6 stacks of bandages
    - 2-4 aspirin
    - 4+ waters
    - 1-2 stacks of SFA's
    - 1 LFA

I recommend this as your minimum amount. Aim for the higher end if you are PVP focused or engage is heavy ship combat.
This may seem expensive at first, but saving your life and/or winning the fight will allow you to keep your loot and help you snowball into a more bountiful stash, making this very affordable. Think of it like insurance to protect your investment.
LFAs heal 80 HP and 10 Pain total, and the high healing/second is vital in recovering from a firefight in short time.

  • If you want to be very conservative with your money, I recommend using food instead of meds to heal when fighting AI or if you are safe and have time. Once you acquire enough funds, you can use bandages more frivolously.

  • Fill all the empty space in your bag with extra food. It is exceptionally cheap and gives you spare resources to spend instead of your more valuable meds. You can always drop it for better loot.

  • Throughout the raid, top up your stamina to minimize fatigue to be prepared for PVP. Heal your pain before a fight to maximize survivability. Two guns can deal 97.5 damage with headshot to lvl 12 helmets (Mosin Obrez and M1941 Johnson), and a Johnson with a compensator deals 97.5 to lvl 13 helmets.

  • Meds heal over 3-8 seconds, with food healing the least/second, followed by bandages, then SFAs, then LFAs. Save your bandages/first aids for PVP when healing time is crucial!

  • Bring 1-3 copper coins with you into every raid to guarantee you can buy 1-3 SFAs from the Vending Machine. You can easily find more coppers in-raid from common containers/valuables pouches. Copper horns can be scrapped for 4-8 copper coins.

  • Place meds in your rig pockets, specifically an LFA in the centre if possible. When you press tab, your cursor appears in the centre above the rig pockets. This allows you to tab and immediately middle mouse to use the LFA. If you have armor without pockets, you can place the LFA in the top centre of your backpack.

  • You can sometimes benefit more from using armour with more pockets for extra meds/loot with minimal compromise on protection.

ie. a Plate Rig with 9 armour has 12 inventory slots, versus a Sherman Plate that has 11 armor and 6 inventory slots.
Having double the meds will allow you to fight/trade more while 2 armour points may not make any difference, especially if you are headshotted.
More space for loot also means your stash inventory increases at a high rate.

  • Avoid depleting your stamina to the point where heavy breathing occurs. It is quite loud and is a clear indicator of a player's location. Keep your fatigue to a minimum to prevent this.
Using spice or meth during this phase will have you heavy breathing for the entire buff duration.

  • Helmets are more important than armour. Each lvl of helmet reduces damage by 3.25 due to the headshot multiplier. Start collecting high lvl helmets ASAP. I dedicate 1 large container just for helmets.

  • Generally, Current Gun Durability * 3 = bullets shot before gun breaks. The ideal synergy is to run out of ammo right wne your gun breaks. Rifles are an exception due to their high durability, damage and ammo rarity. 2-2.5 stacks is sufficient for rifles.

    ie. a MAC-10 has 70 durability.
    70 * 3 = 210
This means you should carry a full gun (30) plus 180 bullets (3 stacks of 60) for perfect synergy.

  • Since armour/helmet durability is reduced by 1 per bullet/pellet, you can get away with not repairing them between raids, this you can save money in the long run. around 30 durability will be sufficient to survive most gun fights. The exception is if you partake in heavy ship combat, then I recommend you fully repair your armour to prevent it from getting destroyed before you engage in a gun fight. FYI Shotguns will also shred your armour.

  • Always repair your gun before going back into raid. The exceptions would be rifles since they often will not break before you finish the raid. Repair rifles around 60/100 to save money.
