Anyway maybe now after all this time they made some update that fix it ? I don't know i finish the game twice so I'm totally satisfied
I also want to add that with other games I don't have this problem as long as that game support PS buttons.
This is because when using Steam Controller, steam detects your controller even if it's not supported, and sends it to the game as if it were a default joypad/controller (such as xbox) in doing this it will always display like an Xbox. If disabled, it allows the game to detect naturally without Steam being a go-between.
There are other games like this as well, such as Vrising. Before launchign a game, check the controler options, it will tell you if there is Full/Partial/None support for all three controller types.

es que esta guia es porque mi PS5 Dualsense no funciona nativamente con steam a pesar de que supeustamente el fix es desactivando el steam input al hacer eso mi mando deja de funcionar con el juego
