Introduction
This guide will cover types of achievements you can earn and provide gameplay suggestions.

The goal is to learn how to be a better Picker without spoiling too much, as some achievement descriptions are painfully obvious...
Game Completion Achievements
Many achievements will only unlock on Day 30 of being a Picker. However, some will be achieved long before then and will only unlock on completing 30 days.

Here's a few suggestions on how to complete the game FAST:

  • Click everything except the item list in hidden-object-games (HOGs for short)
  • Go to as many HOGs as possible before the end of the day
  • Auction everything without expert appraisal

Using these suggestions will avoid having to think about what might be worth more than something else. Using HOGs as often as possible will usually give you a "finder's fee" (which isn't explicitly explained in Pickers) and result in guaranteed money.

When you are done with all the HOGs, just pick up anything you can find and resell it an an auction. For hot item bonuses and money-related achievements, make sure to bring back as many of a specific, hot items as possible.

  • Repair/Restore/Refurbish all items for max return value

If something looks fairly new like the bean bag chair in Patrick Merman's appartment (and other similar things), it's probably not worth much in resale, even in a hot item auction.
Money Related Achievements
See the previous section

Always combine items when possible and collect only in pairs or you may be stuck setting a price for it in your shop. If you really need to pick it up, simply overprice the single item and it probably won't sell. If it DOES sell solo, dang you just made a lot of money!

Buy at asking price until the seller's temper is in the green. Later, when you buy from him/her....Lowball by a small percentage and stop bargaining when they say "TOO LOW" and just accept the lowest asking price.

If you find a cheap item, don't buy it....or give a lowball offer

If you find an expensive item, it's usually BOTH: overpriced AND desirable (even if not a "hot" item)

Options for selling: sell hot items in an auction and mark-up items that aren't and put them on your shelf.

You are guaranteed full profit from your own store, but auctions drive hype for hot item sales and the auctioneer has a respectable starting bid (even at a 20% loss, if your item goes to $1000, you still get to keep $800).
(HOG) Hidden Object Achievements
Once you've seen a few of these, you've probably had your share of practice.

Click on anything that seems like an item instead of reading the list (and don't click the list unless you already achieved Thorough Picker and Sharp Eye!!!)

Keep in mind item "hitboxes" are exactly the item's size and shape, so make sure you click precisely!!

To find hidden keys, make sure to check every special-marked area. Beware, keys are not ever the exact shape or size. Often they are on far edges of the screen and far from items set out for sale!!

Two freebies: there is one on the posterboard in the "bus"...another is in the Miller storage unit way in back, near the telescope. The key appears to be printed in ink on a moving box. Just click on it, and it's yours forever!!

Any key you find, will be kept even if you replay the 30 day challenge storyline. You never have to re-collect keys (unless perhaps you uninstall the game).
