For those of you who don't know, there's this dark star version of the game where instead of putting everything in the right place, you put it in the wrong one. Anyways let's get started I guess. Also this guide will have spoilers for the entire game, so stop right now if you haven't beaten it yet.

Pretty much you have to put everything in the wrong spots, but here's a more in depth explanation (It's not really in depth).

If you see the red outlines on the objects there's probably one thing that the game says is correctly placed. If you did it correctly you'll see a dark star instead of a yellow one.

Here's a few facts.
There isn't an achievement for this playthrough.
There's a whole speedrun category for the dark star thingy.
You get new text, but it's the same for every room.
The song at the end gets changed to a more funky and cool one. (personally I think it sound better)

Now that you've looked at pictures, here's some things that could be helpful in your dark star run.

Look for bad spots to put things in. For example insecticide in the crib, stuffed toys on the stove, monitors on the tops of shelves. Just stuff that really shouldn't be there.
Be attentive. You have to pay attention to the screen and make sure that the object has a red outline otherwise you could spend 30 minutes looking at objects that have ones. When you find one that doesn't have an outline, keep placing it in various places until it has one.
