hi! this is the very first steam Guide i've ever made so sorry if it's sucky. i just saw that there wasn't an achievement guide for this game and i thought i'd take on the job! if i got anything wrong in here please let me know! enjoy and happy platforming!
story based / mandatory
ok so i'm not gonna go TOO in depth with these cuz if you're here you've likely already beaten the game and are here for the extra stuff. i'll tell you what you need to do to get the achievements but don't expect much. a youtube video showing a speedrun of the game will be linked at the end and you can use that as a guide :>

  • little corn cadet
    just beat the first level!








  • xp-ansion pak
    to get this achievement you need to reach level 2, this will naturally happen as you play the game and explore around, in fact it's required since multiple areas require you to be level 3 or higher later on. but just in case you need help with it regardless, there'll be a link to an xp guide in the collectables section of this guide.

  • i'm a lasagna hog
    Get this achievement by defeating owlloh at the top of the tree, after defeating him you'll get a small interaction and this achievement along with it






  • Get N(achos) or Get out
    beat the tower and watch the cutscene at the end








  • if you need a video guide on this stuff i'd recommend this speedrun! i used it and it's pretty good. some stuff can be confusing and hard to figure out i get it :>

  • maXPower
    in order to get this you have to collect every single piece of xp in this game. now that's a lot for me to go over but thankfully the wonderful steam user known as buddy already made a guide on every single piece of xp in this game!

    these are too much for me to list here
    although i will add that in terms of the last achievement you won't get it until you reach the results screen at the end, you won't get it right away

  • Corn Syrup
    to Get this you need to increase your max hp by 1
    there are too places in the game where you can do this, although i won't guarantee that both work

    the first is through this guy in hollow who will request 5 bottlecaps of you (the location for each of these as well as every other collectable will be in a youtube video i'll link at the end here)


    the second is through some other place where you can swim through the secret hole in the pool to get the item there as well (obviously in this case i already have it but this is where it would be)





if you have trouble finding anything or just want a video tutorial cuz it's easier for you then you can use this amazing tutorial by the great buddy! who was mentioned for their steam guide a little earlier

ah the post Game, the void screws were already mentioned in another part of this guide so i won't bring them up here, what we'll be focusing on is
  • Anxiety Attack
    the tower of anxiety! a fitting name seeing as how much this stressed me out personally. one life all the way through and barely any health to get you through it.
    but seriously this thing is just a matter of trail and error mostly. after you Get into the flow of things you'll be breezing past parts you used to struggle with like they were nothing. in fact when i went back to it to get screenshots for this guide i beat it first try!
    the challenge mostly comes from being unfamiliar with it and being stressed that you'll die and lose all your progress.
    make sure that you have enough health at all times, if you see an enemy do kill them to gain a bit back, maybe save the vending machine for when you really need it tho.
    remember: stay patient, stay resilient, stay focused, and may lady luck be on your side.








misc
  • heroes in a whole shell
    simply make the turtle near the broken staircase in hollow follow you back to near knirt's shop to reunite it with it's friend





  • magical tetnis challenge
    after gaining the drill ability head back to the park and dig under one of the socks in the beginning then attack it from underneath








  • smoking kills
    head to the vending machine at the very beginning of hollow, attack it until it breaks, then stand on top of it until you die, make sure to face a direction where the dying animation won't launch you off. (that happened in the screenshots) and as long as you die on top of the vending machine due to the smoke you'll get it!








  • feast fit for a kid
    during the catch cans mirror you have to try and get 20 cans, you have a very limited amount of mistakes (3 i believe) and there aren't really any tips i can give here besides being patient and trying to not focus on your score (note: if you've already beaten this mirror you can replay it after unlocking the level 5 door at the back of the nacho shop)




  • highdive
    right so if i'm being completely honest i got this one by accident so this may be wrong but i'll tell you anyways, feel free to comment and correct me!
    go to a very high point inside the hollow tree and simply fall down into the water bellow

I cant seem to get to level 6. I have fully played through the game, though I haven't climbed the Anxiety tower yet. Is there something im missing? Ive followed every single video about this game that I can find online. I have "replayed" the game multiple times and still cant find a single thing ive missed. Ive done every secret, gone to every secret area, killed all the fish, beat all the mini games, ive done it all and still cant get to level 6. Will completing the anxiety tower give me xp I haven't unlocked yet? All the videos Ive watched on it dont show you getting any xp, only the last void screws. Ive seen people not even close to finishing the game and already be at level 6. I dont know what im doing wrong and its driving me crazy, I can only keep running around and repeating everything so many times

I appear to be having trouble with the oxygen achievement, as when i stand near the smoke my oxygen doesn't even deplete by a pixel. Am i doing something wrong, or is my game bugged?

thanks for the comment dearG doom!!! i'll be sure to update the review to add this in. however as for the zoo area i've tried that and it does not unlock the achievement sadly.

For the "smoking kills" achievement it can be any broken vending machine provided that you face in a direction where the death animation won't launch you off of it. I had tried getting the achievement at the vending machine in the starting area but the death animation threw me off of it, which caused the oxygen meter to refill before dying and didn't unlock the achievement. When I tried it again and faced towards the wall, I stayed on the machine when dying and the achievement unlocked. At least that was my experience with getting that achievement :hintlord:

Otherwise I'm pretty sure you can get it by dying in the zoo area with the rats before it gets cleaned, since that would involve you dying to running out of oxygen. Sorry for the long explanation, great guide!
