Intro
I wanted to make this guide divided by each room I solved. Sometimes it's not really clear which room is which - some chapters have usual rooms with numbers starting from 1.
Some will have random numeration, so for these I made clarifications like "room 9 (but technically room 1)" because that was the first room in chapter 4 but that room had number 9.
Some rooms are not rooms at all, these are pretty much unknown spaces inside Aperture facility, which you usually see in the start of the chapter, these I marked as "prologues" and similar terms.
How I decide where any room or 'room' starts and ends - by loading screens between.
I hope this helps to understand what is what)

This is the room where I managed to softlock myself.
I opened the portal in the center of the panel and covered in blue gel absolutely everything. Because of that i couldn't return to that platform anymore: I jumped from it every time i tried to return, and there was no way to clean the gel. Had to redo that room, I think if you messed up with the gel placement the only solution is reload.
This is how I broke it, don't repeat this:


UPD. I was told that if this happened you still can land on the gel and not jump away if you hold ctrl during the jump. So maybe not all is lost! :)

now I am wondering how did i missed this because I cut all the videos by the elevator, that was my point for end of one and start of the next... :p2cube:

as far as i can tell by the cuts that is all i had, last jump chapter 3 was shooting myself to the exit, then an elevator and chapter 4... maybe game was updated and they added some additional location? or people solving the last room of the chapter 3 differently :nibbles:

After you get the orange portal, you have to head through some backstage areas, including a deep pit where you have to do the propulsion/speed trick, before finding the elevator that led to chapter 4. I figured it out by now, I found it rather tricky to find a place to shoot the right portal to go up top :) (I might have missed an obvious shortcut, but so far the game has been pretty straightforwad in which routes you could take)

Looks like that's all I have! After getting the orange portal you go to the elevator, the next chapter starts with that elevator bringing me to the turrets.. What did I miss? There was an additional unnumered room there?

It's the sequence after you gain the orange portal, before entering chapter 4 :)

I cut videos where the loadings were, and I removed only the trial and error footage, so everything should be there. Unless they added something new or you went somewhere where I hasn't been :gk_smile:

Thank you for this! Although I am stuck just after receiving the upgrade - but before the first video of Chapter 4 with the turrets. Is something missing there or did I take a wrong turn? There is a pit that's supposed to propel me, but no place to shoot the outward portal that is useful at all

thank you for your kind words) i must say, i did nit finish it on the first try either lol. every stage of the final battle took some trial and error, and the timer for sure added to the anxiety))

I can not seem to finish it. I keep running out of time. Sure wish they had made the time clock just a little longer. I think your guide is the best. I try not to use guides but sometimes I just don't see the solution. Again, Thank you.
