This is absolutely possible to complete legitimately, you'll just hate yourself by the time you finish.
im nowhere near insane enough to try getting this one legit like some of the madlads further down the comments, luckily i found this really neat mod that lets you turn filled capture pods into their corresponding figures. made the whole ordeal a whole lot more bearable if not genuinely enjoyable. didn't feel too cheat-y either, at least not in my opinion. turned the definite worst achievement in the game into a nice little budget pokemon adventure
it's called Figurine Crafting Mod, heres the link in case anyone's interested: https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=753640920
For any monster in hunting, if the "poolRounds" is removed, then it has a better chance. But if "poolRounds" is still there, it's time to break out the calculator. Parasprites, seemingly uniquely, have a LOWER chance to drop figures with hunting weapons.
So if you want to use this information you'll probably have to unpack the game assets and dig through the treasure folder for monster.treasurepools and hunting.treasurepools yourself. Unless someone made a tool for it or something. Or put it on the wiki. (i am considering both options personally)
Just to be clear I don't have the mod yet but I will.
