To be honest, you can't go back anyways. That doesn't work at all, but that's the thing. It is right in every situation, because as I said, you shouldn't :3

Always pay attention to the electronic display above the cart doors
Because on one hand they show you how far you are or rather your level (L) and on the other hand they give you hints, or rather instructions on how to deal with the anomaly shown there.

If the yellow poster hangs on the door leading you to the next compartment, the anomaly will ONLY ever affect one of the posters or - and this is an exception - the headless man you see outside the train.
Also: This poster does NOT refer to the general game. Do not make the mistake of thinking that you just have to wait for EVERY anomaly to disappear just because of this poster. You ALWAYS have to go straight through the door into the next compartment.
