Introduction
Welcome.

I will not cover any information or hints about enemies within the Dungeons so as to let you enjoy discovering their mechanics. Happy looting Pilgrims!

When starting the game you will start next to a table with 2 lanterns, 2 torches and a piece of loot (usually worth around £10 currency wise). Once you have picked these items up, enter your cart. Inside the cart is a chest to store your items, 3 pieces of chalk (important later), a crystal on a pedestal, a wheel allowing you to turn the engine on/off and a pigeon in a cage.

Releasing the Pigeon will end your run on the spot. Do not interact with it unless you're happy to end your run. The Pigeon is not supposed to be released until you reach your destination.

Light Sources
My number 1 tip for any player is to never be without a source of light. Entering a "dungeon" without a light source can potentially lead to instant-death situations. There are two types of lighting;

Torches - These can be re-lit at any flaming torch entity (not other players currently). When you progress through "dungeons" you should light every wall torch you see because they can go out after a period of time and it's super handy to have a nearby light source to relight your torch from. You have to put the torch away when you want to pick up an item.

Lanterns - The benefit of this item is that it can remain lit even when it's not in your hands actively, however the drawback is that you cannot relight it once it runs out. You will have to go back to the wagon and use the (infinite) barrel of lantern oil to refill/ relight it. I suggest flicking it on and off periodically to try and make it last a little longer.
Revival Mechanics
The chalk is part of the revival mechanic. When allies die you can bring their body (or a mask) to the ritual circle outside "dungeons" or at the Merchant.

Draw the shape of the magic circle using the chalk and place the body (or mask) inside the circle once it starts sparking with purple light. After a few seconds one of your dead players should be revived.

Sometimes you can not retrieve a body for a player that has died. If this happens, when you next visit the Merchant you can buy a Mask from him for £30 to use in the revival ceremony as a proxy.
The Engine/ Crystal
The crystal and engine are interlinked. The Crystal powers the engine as a finite resource. Crystals can be found in "dungeons" or bought from Merchants for £80. The Merchant also sells a Crystal Compass that when used inside a "dungeon" will direct you to where the crystal (if any) exists in that dungeon.

If the crystal runs out of power and you do not have a replacement you and your allies can manually push the cart but it is much slower by comparison. It does not seem to go faster if more than one person pushes the cart.
Travel Hazards
While travelling you will at some point notice that a behemoth is following you. When it becomes night (Red Moon) the behemoth will approach the cart.

If you are currently using crystal energy to power the cart you are fine. If you are not, you must either stand at the far end of the cart by the steering wheel (or outside it at the front end of the cart) otherwise it will try to reach in and eat you. It can potentially break the doors at the back of the carriage.

I do not think the behemoth is currently coded to do worse than break the door and eat players within reach. I have tested this about 30 times (with a motionless cart) and no other consequences I can notice.

There is a clock near the engine that will help you keep track of the passage of time - use it!
Locked Gates on the Road
Periodically you will reach a large gate. Someone will need to get of the cart and go through a hole in the wall on the right side to turn the wheel/ open it. I suggest closing it after you have passed the gate, especially if you are being chased by the behemoth.
Misc / Observed Mechanics
- The game follows a basic game-play loop of Merchant / Dungeon/ Merchant / Dungeon etc with no exception.
- Rarely you can have an empty village filled with lot / monsters instead of a instanced Dungeon.
- Running too far away from the cart can lead to your death.
- If you are in a dungeon and someone drivers the cart far enough, the dungeon will de-spawn and it can either teleport you outside or straight up kill you.
- You can't pick up bodies that have been cut in half by specific traps.
- Merchants have a chest in their camp with a £10 loot item. It is always positioned directly next to a trap.
- Helmets and swords are worth significantly more than Urn/ Vase/ Crosses.
