Hello again esteemed researchers, its once again your favorite researcher, Dr. V. Today we are going for a guide on where to find all the rugs in the portal worlds as rugs are a very important resource in terms of decorating your base (I would know).


Now as per usual, onward to science!

Now Flathill has two good rugs and is currently the only place for the small welcome mat which can add little bits of pop and detail to your base please refer to the two maps below.

First rug is in the house right behind the exit to the treehouse you enter from

Second Rug is in the managers office of the arcade

Now first using the above maps the rugs are simple to find. To get the first welcome mat simply leave the tree house that you spawn in from and turn around to face the boarded up door of the house. The welcome mat is there.

Next head to the arcade and go to the upstairs managers office and your second rug is hiding under the desk.

From here leave in your preferred method with your newly acquired rugs.

Now, for the first floor here we have 2 of the fancy oval rugs to grab. Thankfully both of them are in the same room so this will be a quick grab and then head to the next section. Upon entering simply head straight and take a left before the elevator, passing the TV and then taking a right. The first rug will be under this table here.

After snatching up the oval turn to your right to the sword fireplace and you will find the second elliptical matting.
Don't forget to grab the sword while you're here its a good weapon

From here take any of the denoted staircases on the map and head up to the second floor.

Now depending on your entry to this area you will either be between the two rug rooms or you will have to cross over to reach them. In total there is one oval rug, two green rectangular rugs and two yellow square rugs.

Starting with the north eastern room you will find your first rug under this fancy meeting table here. These chairs have great lower back support if I do say so myself.

Following that cast your gaze towards a set of parallel bookshelves with two rocking chairs. Your next oval rug will be betwixt them.
Sometimes there is nice items within the cabinets, never hurts to check

Finally next to the bookshelf hall the wall right next to it will have a painting of a mountain, your final green rug will be under it, gazing at the mountains it wishes to inhabit.

Now we move onto the next room being a sort of living space display. This room is the quickest for grabbing the last two yellow rugs as they are sharing the same area, being right under a coffee table surrounded by blue couches.

Grab them both but do not separate them, they are twins and will always travel together.

Still the best artist

After you clear the first section and zipline down to here. You want to head into the eastern building of the ski lift area. Inside a small computer room you will find the green rug sitting in there.

There's also a neutrino mapper in here if for some reason you think that's better than a rug

After grabbing your last rug you may either teleport out using the normal exit method or a personal teleport device you brought with you, up to you as we can all science in our own ways. Now the fun part is all of these rugs can be painted to give different designs and the sky is the limit for your creativity. Decorate to your hearts content and put some color into this drab facility in which we inhabit.
