What are Amps?
Amps are powerful contraband that can have a big impact on your therapy. Dorris traffics in Amps. Amps are a purchasable player mechanic in The Outlast Trials, that are bought in the cafeteria located in the Sleep Room. Interacting with Dorris will pull up the amps menu, and each can be purchased for 3 Vouchers.

Amps Are Divided Into 3 groups
They are divided into 3 groups in the fields of Tool, Skill and Medicine.



There are 24 obtainable amps as of the Full Access Release (March 5th, 2024). Only 3 of them (one per each group) can be equipped for Reagent's loadout, and their effects can greatly impact gameplay and the Trial's outcome.

Throw a brick to break open locked containers.

Lockpicking guarantees success on the first try and each lockpick has two uses.

Enter a hiding spot to recover from stamina exhaustion and receive an adrenaline boost.
(Brief cooldown period before re-use.)

Hide and Heal
Enter a hidespot to restore one bracket of health instantly, and health regeneration begins immediately.

Hide and Restore
Enter a hidespot to restore Rig cooldown 50% faster.

Quick Escape
After taking damage, temporarily increase your speed.

Invisible
Enemies can't find you in a hiding spot, even if you peek.

Door Trap Breaker
Door traps shatter when doors are opened normally. If opened slowly, the trap disarms instead.

Smash
Break doors and planks in a single strike.

Strong Arm
Bricks and bottles pack a stronger punch when thrown at an enemy, but the brick will shatter immediately.

The last enemy strike reduces your heath to 1 HP instead of causing death.

Your crouched walking speed is enhanced.

Good Job
Finishing an assignment will replenish a portion of your health.

Trivia
  • It is unknown how Dorris has acquired those amps. When paying attention, she has those amps hidden in the trash bag underneath the table.
  • Dorris' dialogues also indicate that Amps are contraband, as she will tell the Reagent to 'act natural' and to not draw attention to themselves and her.
  • It is stated in a loading screen message that amps sold by Dorris are considered contraband. This is due to the advantage given by its ability to negate difficulties in trials such as making broken glass trap steps silent.
  • However, the Murkoff Corporation is actually aware of the reagents equipping the amps due to the No Amps variator introduced in the Weekly Therapy.
  • In the image that showcases the amps from The Outlast Trials Steam page, there are 3 amps that have not been shown in the official game.
  • The Incognito amp was not present until the third update in the early access version.
  • Good Job was not present until the game's full release.

What nonsense are you talking about? I already wrote in the introduction part of the guide that I got this informations from the Outlast Wiki page. You also claimed that this was very lazy in your own way. Let's say so, why does this concern you? Block me and pass. But I still see you claiming that I "stole" this from someone. Thank God there was no one else in my place, because if there had been, he would not have responded so respectfully to your disrespect.

Stealing somebody's work and posing it as you own guide is not prohibited? Probably not. Does not change the fact that is lazy and scummy. You did not even left a ling to the original page
