By grubber21
Chips appear, at first glance at least, to be a limited resource--however, with the right setup and a chunk of luck, you can get a infinite amount!

The Infinite Bust
The 'Infinite Bust' is a scenario in which your enemy always has a 0 value on the board. You can accomplish this in one of three ways:

-Destroy(or steal) all their cards
-Alter the value of all their cards
-Lock cards that bust the enemy and throw away the keycard.

Destroying their cards is self explanatory, as is stealing them. For this, the Yellow Card is a acceptable pick. However, a Cue Card and a Library Card together actually allow you to plunder the enemy's deck instead, which can be handy, depending on the enemy. For example, plundering the deck of a Collector will allow you to permanently add a card sleeve and a old baseball card to your deck!

Altering the value of their cards is a little trickier, and slower to boot. If a enemy only has Hearts cards, you could technically insert a Blood Donor Card into their deck using the Transit Card and Cue Card. Alternately, the Victim Card increases the value of all played enemy cards by 1 whenever you take damage, and there are a number of ways to self damage. The fastest option for enemies with smaller decks is to use Break Limit to double the value of their cards over and over.

The third option, too, is self explanatory.

Edit:This is somewhat invalidated by the addition of the mechanic of adding scratches to deck after a certain number of turns. Figures.
Exploiting the Infinite Bust
You might ask yourself... 'But what's the point of that?'

Well, it's simple! There are a number of cards that have effects when played or exploited that can give you chips or heal you. This also allows you to set up a Loyalty Card for a alpha strike in your next game, in theory.

The simplest and by far most desirable Infinite Bust chip card has to be Cardecu--25 chips right away without fiddling. The Lucky Stars Scratchcard is perfect as well, if a little more annoying to use.

As for healing, well, using the Infinite Bust to heal is a far harder proposition. Most cards with healing have deleterious effects, or are single shot. For example, the Blood Donor card bleeds value from Hearts cards, making the amount of healing limited unless you have a way to restore their value. The Lovers is by far the best way to heal during the Infinite Bust as it can spawn you an unlimited number of Valentines Cards.
Optimizing the Infinite Bust
The Infinite Bust is limited only by your patience once you achieve it, buuuut time is a resource too. In order to optimize your Infinite Bust, it's best to find a way to throw away all the cards that are irrelevant, as long as you make sure you have a way to kill your enemy to get out of it. Dark Mage is a good way to deal with this, provided you have Break Limits so you can increase the value of cards. Alternately, Transit Card lets you put cards into your enemy's deck where you don't have to deal with them, so long as this doesn't risk breaking the Bust.

You are so patient to get 10000 chips this way, @Poncho Libre. I used 10 emperors and busted to get the chips

There is an easier alternative to getting infinite chips. You need the Chip and a Chair starting chip, a Time Card, and a 9 or a 5. All you have to do is get below 21 health and then the Chip and a Chair gives you infinite advantage, which you can spend to farm chips using the Time Card. It is very click intensive, but probably less so than this method.

I've used this method multiple times, its surprisingly easy to pull off. Its how I got my 10,000 chips achievement.

@murk I'm aware. It's a recent change, which mostly invalidates this. Though, if you can burn your own Scratches or insert them into the enemy deck while locking enough enemy cards on the field to bust them, it could still work in theory.

After so long the dealer shows up and gives both players the Scratch card
