Raise/Adjust FPS Cap in Smite 2
By nickwithtea
A quick guide how to edit your Smite 2 config file to raise the default FPS cap of 150 or adjust it to any number you desire.

Please note: There may be a hard engine limit in the upper FPS range. I have not tested but if you run into it please let us know in the comments. For example there may be a hard cap at 300, 400, or 500. There may also be no cap.

Config file location and modification
First ensure SMITE 2 is closed and not running

On your computer open 'File Explorer'

On the top address bar type in: %localappdata%

Then navigate to:
C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Local\SMITE2Alpha\Saved\Config\Windows\GameUserSettings.ini

Open this file in notepad or any word/text editor.

Press CTRL + F and search for: FrameRateLimit=

Once searched for it will find the line, the default should be 0.000000 etc. Modify the number in front of the decimal to whatever you want. For example, if you changed it to 230.000000 and saved. Your new FPS cap in SMITE 2 will be 230 FPS.

Once you have adjusted it to your desired value press CTRL + S to save.

Now launch SMITE 2 and your FPS will be whatever you adjusted it to.

You may have in-game updates which overwrite or recreate the config file, just perform the change again

Of course, still works!

Is this still working? Wanting to cap mine to 165 to match monitor refresh and nothing between 120 and 240 is annoying.

Does this not work anymore?

Confirming Nvidia reflex is enabled. It may be the "reduce buffering" setting but I haven't tested. It may also be enabled by default but the game has it.

Appears there may be an FPS cap of 225 in-game, this may be because I am running G-SYNC and the game may have nvidia reflex? (There's a reduce buffering option - so potentially that's reflex mis-typed)

All I know is I am capped in-game at 225, but in the menu it goes to 235 which is my cap
