Introduction
Welcome to my walkthrough for the second AA Investigations game! Will Edgeworth finally make some new friends? Will Gumshoe learn to do his job? Play on to find out!

<-- To my AA Investigations: Miles Edgeworth guide

Compared to other available guides, I aim to offer more plot context to help readers quickly find the right spot while still keeping spoilers to a minimum. Also, I’ll occasionally point out optional flavor text/convos I thought were funny or interesting. Those recommendations, as well as steps for achievements that don't progress the plot, will go in italics.

  • If you’d prefer the Japanese audio, you can change it from the title menu > Options > Language.
  • Make sure reader mode is off as it will disable many achievements.
  • You can fast forward through previously read dialog by holding Z/right mouse. If you go to Options > Gameplay and enable Text Skip, you can also do this with unread dialog.
  • If you miss an achievement, you can use the chapter select menu to minimize your replay time.

If you haven't already...
Everything Old Is New Again
Play the game with HD chibis. (From the title menu, click Options > Art Style > HD)
Some Pointers on Mind Chess
Mind chess can feel frantic your first time out (and the in-game explanation doesn’t much help) so here I’ll go over it in more detail.
  • When your opponent looks confident or aggressive, "bide your time". When they look nervous, argue. (Edgeworth will discuss their tell in his "state of play".)
  • Your white piece smashing into your opponent’s piece indicates a correct answer. The type of piece (pawn, rook, etc.) has no real meaning, and there is no consistency to the number of "hits" a piece will take to break.
  • Don’t stress too much about the timer – it resets every time you eliminate an opponent’s piece.
  • Options marked with a chess pieces carry a time penalty for a wrong guess; unmarked options do not.
  • When your choices are all unmarked, one (or more) will provide you with a "clue", while the other(s) will require that "clue" to proceed. There’s no way to predict which is which so it’s best to just pick one quickly. If you’re wrong, Edgeworth will soon say "I need a clue to proceed…"
  • Options with yellow text are the "clues" you’ve acquired. Always choose these, regardless of your opponent’s posture.
  • If you do run out the timer, you’ll lose one measly health and restart mind chess.

@0ri0n - thanks for the close read! In Turnabout Forsaken, it looks like I conflated the two dialog options about memories - you're correct that it should be "What you remember" rather than "Other recollections" so I've fixed that.

As for Captive Turnabout, the area accepted as "correct" is surprisingly large, you can point to anywhere in the yard to the right of the fence (minus the breaker room). I'll tweak the phrasing to account for that.

Another thing I noticed:

During middle of A Turnabout Forsaken after when "Girl" appears to get the Moon part of logic we needed to ask girl about "What you remember". So it was also necessary.

Thank you very much for guide!

Wanted to share about Captive Turnabout. I pointed out that murder weapon would be in well and it worked so I think that it wasn't necessary to point out the pool exactly.
Just wanted to add that option if someone got confused.

Thanks for this amazing guide and for getting it out so quickly! One thing I noticed:

During Turnabout for the Ages – Beginning, in the Mind Chess with Gavelle (Queen), the step for “Do you know him?” is missing in between 3. “Did you hear that from Shaun himself?” and 4. “Bide my time."
