Introduction
This is a list of add-ons that fix, restore, and improve tiny details in Half-Life: Opposing Force.

I've tested all add-ons myself and ensured that they work together. If an add-on doesn't work with another add-on, it will be made clear on the list.

All add-ons were sourced come from either ModDB or GameBanana, with one exception from GitHub.

By no means am I trying to take credit for these modders' work. I'm simply attempting to put their work more out there so that others can enjoy it too.

No MMod compatibility indicator this time, since, y'know, there is no Opposing Force MMod support (yet.)

If you don't know how to install add-ons, there's a section in my Half-Life guide attempting to explain the process. Just know that instead of "valve_addon", Opposing Force add-ons should be installed to a seperate "gearbox_addon" folder.

Note: This guide has gotten a bit messy in presentation with my updates to it. Hopefully some time I'll get around to giving it a face lift.
Engine Level Fixes

(No demonstration available.)
HLFixes by Intriguing Tiles
[github.com]
Fixes many small engine problems, like menu music playing over gameplay / intros, music not playing over loading screens, etc.

Note: If you installed this once before, you don't need to install it again. One install affects all GoldSrc games.
Main Menu

Gearbox Startup Video by Total Chaos the Source Modder
[gamebanana.com]
Restores the Sierra, Gearbox, and Valve opening logos from the original release of the game.

Note: You need to install the contents of this add-on into the gearbox folder, not your gearbox_addon folder, otherwise the video will not play.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
"Planet" for the Main Menu by Stitchu27
[gamebanana.com]
Adds "Planet", the song that plays during the credits, to the main menu.

Note: You must have HLFixes installed if you want the music to not play over the intro videos or while in-game.

(See GameBanana page for preview.)
Restored WON Menu by serapherd
[https//https]
When Half-Life was updated for the 25th anniversary of the series, Valve remade the main menu. The text effects and organization of the new menu carried across to the expansion packs, and it made Opposing Force's menu pretty bad looking.

This mod restores the background (although without animation, since the modern release still doesn’t support animated menu backgrounds), text descriptions from the original release, and updates the New Game pop-up text to match base Half-Life.
Fixes

(Preview taken from the GameBanana page.)
Vanilla Map Fixes by marigi64
[gamebanana.com]
Makes numerous fixes to map errors and mistakes.

(See GameBanana page for preview.)
Fixed Original Image Previews by Ezequiel-TM
[gamebanana.com]
Only applies to Steam Legacy versions!

Fixes the images in the multiplayer model selection menu so that they actually respond to changing the colors.

Additionally, there is a patch by Mystyle48 [gamebanana.com] for this mod that adds the zombie playermodel's image (Opposing Force exclusive.)

(See GameBanana page for preview.)
Fixed Muzzle Flash for Pistol Human Grunt by SealTeam9
[gamebanana.com]
Fixes the muzzle flash effect on the pistol-weilding H.E.C.U. NPCs.

Note: Conflicts with Consistent H.E.C.U. Backpacks!

(See GameBanana page for preview.)
HECU "Victory Dance" Fix HL:OP4 by SealTeam9
[gamebanana.com]
Fixes a broken animation where soldiers will walk up to enemies they kill and put an extra bullet in the corpse.

Note: Conflicts with Consistent H.E.C.U. Backpacks!

Fixed Male Assassin Head Hitbox by XF-Alien, Dakashi, JerryDX, and Hellektronic
[gamebanana.com]
Fixes the male Black Ops soldier's hitbox so that headshots actually matter.
Content Restoration

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
intro_fg13 from the Press Demo by Corporal_Stefan
[gamebanana.com]
Replaces a line in the chapter Incoming with a slightly longer version from the press demo.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Correct Black Ops Death Sounds by mrsharipov
[gamebanana.com]
Restores the Black Ops Grunt death sound from the original release of Opposing Force, which is the same as the Barney death sound.
High Definition Models

(See ModDB page for preview.)
Extended High Definition Pack

Implements HD models for models that previously didn't have HD equivalents (also improves existing HD models.)

(See GameBanana page for preview.)
SouL BreaKeR's black gloves on improved HD weapons by Dmitriy Bars and SouL BreaKeR
[gamebanana.com]
A version of the previously listed black gloves consistency patch, but for the HD models.
Consistency

The Right Gloves for Shephard by Corporal_Stefan
[gamebanana.com]
Makes Adrian’s gloves black to match with other H.E.C.U. NPCs.

Consistent HECU Backpacks by /TheWolf
[gamebanana.com]
Cleans up all inconsistencies between NPCs that wear military backpacks.

Fixed / Timeline Accurate Skyboxes by Bloxed
[gamebanana.com]
Makes the time of day in Welcome to Black Mesa, “We Are Pulling Out!” match Surface Tension’s daytime. (Surface Tension takes place during these chapters, as evidenced by hearing the transmitting end of the airstrikes transmission.)

Note: This add-on does somewhat change the mood of those maps, which you may or may not jive with. It also doesn't change the lighting, which makes things look a bit off.

Note: Conflicts with Vanilla Map Fixes!

Long Jump Module Consistency Fix by Serapherd
[gamebanana.com]
Fixes lore inconsistency by giving Gordon the Long Jump Module when you briefly see him entering Xen, and also adds a new sequence to C4A1TITLE of Gordon actually appearing.

(In-game demonstration is yet to be acquired)
Accurate Gina Cross Hologram by ColossusSteppes
[gamebanana.com]
Gina Cross appears as a hologram in a certain Displacement Cannon teleport location. This add-on makes her suit color beige, as it appears in Half-Life: Decay. Even though it's a base Half-Life add-on, it works in Opposing Force since they're the same model (but even if you installed this for Half-Life 1, it needs to also be installed for Opposing Force).

Gina's Corpse Accurate Model by SoulBreaKeR
[gamebanana.com]
Gina Cross appears again, this time dead, in another Displacement Cannon destination. This serves the same basic function as the above mod, but where that mod replaces the hologram model, this one replaces the corpse model. The corpse is actually the deathmatch version of Gina in vanilla, therefore a separate model swap is necessary.

(See GameBanana page for preview.)
Improved Titles.txt by serapherd
[gamebanana.com]
Cleans up canon inconsistencies in game over messages and realigns the chapter title pop-up.
Consistency with Half-Life 2

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Half-Life 2 Functions (Zoom and Sprint) by HL1 X
[gamebanana.com]
Adds the sprinting system and H.E.V. suit zoom function from Half-Life 2. It also works with the expansion packs!

Note: For this to work, put game.cfg in "valve". Yes, valve. It should carry over to other directories once you install it. One installation of this affects all GoldSrc games, so if you already installed it, no need to reinstall it.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Half-Life 2 Headcrab Bite Sound by ChalkyMalky
[gamebanana.com]
Replaces the Headcrab chomp sound with the bite sound from Half-Life 2.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Horrific Zombies by SleepyNotDead
[gamebanana.com]
Replaces zombie sounds with modified Half-Life 2 zombie sounds.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Half-Life 2 Barnacle Sounds by ChalkyMalky
[gamebanana.com]
Replaces Barnacle sounds with their Half-Life 2 counter-parts.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Vortigese Consistency by ChalkyMalky
[gamebanana.com]
Replaces Vortigaunt speech with Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, and Black Mesa sounds.

(Image from GameBanana page.)
Vortigaunt Consistency Fix by Tunnel and Ambient.Impact
[gamebanana.com]
Removes the two side eyes from the Vortigaunts' faces, which are not present in Half-Life 2.
Extras

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Worn-out Scientists by Evy Houstuvk
[gamebanana.com]
Gives the scientists in Opposing Force more disheveled clothes and injuries. Since you only ever see the scientists a full day and a half into the disaster, surely they'd be pretty busted up.

(See GameBanana page for demonstration.)
Radioactive Gluon Gun SFX by adrianshephard6170 & BenedictKapustin42
[gamebanana.com]
This is a simple sound mod that adds geiger counter sounds to the Gluon Gun blasting SFX. Only appears in deathmatch or with the impulse 101 cheat.

Unique Einstein & Commander in of1a1 by nonsense-me
[gamebanana.com]
Adds unique (and somewhat gory) textures for the scientist and fallen commander at the start of Welcome to Black Mesa.

Note: Uses Vanilla Map Fixes as a base.

of1a4 Barrier Additional Sprite by BratishkaRUS
[gamebanana.com]
Adds a glow sprite to the train barrier in We Are Pulling Out.
Conclusion
Hopefully you enjoy some of the add-ons on this list!

Shout-outs to Intriguing Tiles, Total Chaos the Source Modder, Stichu27, Schraenki, Ezequiel-TM, Mystyle48, Corporal_Stefan, mrsharipov, shadowysn, /TheWolf, Bloxed, Serapherd, SoulBreaKeR, HL1 X, ChalkyMalky, SleepyNotDead, Tunnel, Evy Houstuvk, Ambient.Impact, and ColossusSteppes for making these great add-ons! Go show them support on ModDB and GameBanana!

Additional shoutouts to WYDStepcat for suggesting that HLFixes be added to the list, and to Jerry-DX for pointing out issues and additions to this guide and the base Half-Life guide.

If you have any questions or add-ons that you think should be added to the list, let me know in a comment! I'll get to it soon(ish).

Took me a bit to figure out what you meant, but good call! I completely forgot about the hazard course cameo. I'll add it later today.
JerryDX 12 Jul @ 6:37am
It replaces the hologram Gina model you can see if you use the Displacer Cannon in We Are Not Alone, not the corpse model.

Is there any difference between them?
JerryDX 11 Jul @ 8:22am
You can also use the Accurate Gina Hologram that's in your HL1 list with Op4.

Here's the black HD gloves you wanted. I haven't playtested it, so whether it works or is to your liking I don't know.

I don't believe there is, unfortunately. Although I could be wrong.
