Fix for choices not appearing after completing an episode
By Rile_Zugo
You cannot see your choices compared to other players' choices after finishing an episode due to Telltale Games server shutdown from a few years ago. This is a very quick and easy fix for that.

Foreword & Credits
This guide was inpsired (and honestly, pretty much copied directly) from another guide for Telltale's The Walking Dead games, made by this user.

The choice file needed for the fix was taken from here[savegame.pro]. You can substitute it with any other choice.prop file that was created after September 2016.

Images inside the guide are taken from this Reddit post.
The Problem
A recurring problem since Telltale's shutdown is that newer players are unable to see their choices after completing an episode of the game. You're unable to access My Choices in the main menu and instead of your choices, you're greeted with this message:
Which sucks. Being able to see your choices is part of the experience. But as it would turn out, the choice statistics are actually stored client side.

This is the result of a single missing file: choice.prop

It contains the statistics and strings for all of the choices in the game. By default, this file is located in Documents\Telltale Games\Minecraft Story Mode, although each Telltale game uses a unique version of the file. The idea is that this file is meant to be updated remotely, i.e. the Telltale server periodically sends you a new version with more up-to-date stats.

As a side effect of Telltale's shutdown however, this entire process stopped working... including the initial creation of the file. This is why older players can still view their choices when they launch the games: they already have the required file. But for newer players—that being anybody who started playing after circa September 2018—the file is no longer created, and thus the game isn't able to show you your choices. The important note is that the game still logs your choices, it's just missing the file needed to actually display those choices.

After realizing this, an extremely simple solution came to mind: take a choice.prop file from somebody who has it, and give it to somebody who doesn't. In theory, it should fix the problem. And it did.
The Fix
Just one little file![drive.google.com]
How to Install
That above link is a download to a file. You just have to do a simple drag and drop to the right folder, and your choices should now appear when you re-launch the game.
Installation:
  • Take the file and put it in C:\Users\[...]\Documents\Telltale Games\Minecraft Story Mode

Replace the [...] with whatever your user/computer name is, and you're good to go. Choices should now appear for you.
Other Notes
If you're not using Windows, or if your save location is different (or if the game was acquired somewhere other than Steam) the file should still work as long as you put it in the correct save folder.

Lastly, since localization is also handled client-side, this should work for all languages the game is available in. No extra work needed on your end.

And there you go. If you did everything right, you should now have choices again! Now you can finally beat yourself up over your poor decision-making skills, or make fun of someone else's!

Thanks again to the original creator of the guide for Telltale's The Walking Dead series. Most of this guide was directly copy-pasted from there with minor adjustments.

@Bulba413 I don't, but the solution should be exactly the same if you can find a save file from a few years ago that has a choice.prop file.
