Basic Rundown
I saw some people complaining some about difficulty, so I figured I'd just throw out basic info for how to easily sweep MOST combat (the only exceptions being if opponents use an attack that reduces your entire team's accuracy which simply makes fights a bit slower/more annoying). Doing setup with these is most helpful when the opponent has at least 3 spirits.

The easiest way is to open up with Hornie and use Litany of Curses 5 times, then from there you can either swap to a Team Chant user or simply swap to a decent attacker spirit to wipe the team. The list below is not a complete list, but I haven't bothered getting every Spirit to max level since it's simply tedious and what's listed is more than enough. Any abilities that affect an entire team are stupid strong, however, so that's all you really need to get out of this.

A side note is that this is by no means a complete list since I did not raise every Spirit to level 20 and check which ones learn useful moves. The game is also in Early Access so this could all change.

List of Attacks
Team Chant - Buffs entire team's attack
Litany of Curses - Decreases other team's attack and defense
Milk Storm - Decreases other team's defense and accuracy
♥♥♥ Rain - Decreases other team's accuracy
Howl - Decreases other team's defense
List of Spirits
Bellend - Team Chant, plus Poison Squirt if you want chip damage while setting up (which is unnecessary with how slow combat phases are but up to you).
Octocunt - Team Chant
Lacteena - Team Chant
Hornie - Litany of Curses
Megaboob - Milk Storm (Level 18)
Tinky - Team Chant and ♥♥♥ Rain (Level 20)
Growleen - Howl
TL;DR
Just catch a Hornie and put it as your starter in trainer battles. 5x Litany of Curses = Win.

I personally used Octocunt as my DPS afterward since Suck recovers your health so you could rest if you're low on Stamina and still just recover the HP back, plus Naughty Tentacles provides an alternative typing attack, then she's also got Team Chant if needed. I didn't even bother upping the affection level since the damage was enough as is.

The single most useful Spirit imo is Hornie since decreasing the other team's attack and defense both makes you takes less damage while setting up and simply makes it so whatever you send out won't have much of a problem taking anything on. They already know Litany of Curses if you catch one in the caves down south where you're tasked with catching the Dom spirit, so you're good to go on capture.
Closing
I'll possibly update this guide occasionally and/or with game updates if something really changes. If people have relevant information to add then I might add it as well.

Forgot its name, but Spinnie's evolution is the best user of Litany of curses imo, it has an insane amount of attack at lvl 27, higher base stats than Succubae, Hornie's evolution, and you can get a Spinnie much, much earlier than Hornie.

Nice guide shedding light to how OP Litany of curses is, any spirit that has it is broken. The new mermaid spirit's move (forgot its name) removes all debuffs from the mermaid's team, meaning the meta might shift and it might become less OP (and tedious) to give more space for other strategies. I kind of hated being forced to spam x5 Litany of curses every fight after a while, because it was clearly the most OP strategy in the game.

yeah i blasted through the most recent boss fight with milk storm and the 25power atk that boost attack dmg. the setup is crazy long though lol (a trade off that im cool with since im cheesing the game, im not playing for the combat anyhow)

Yeah, there are multiple setups that work well depending on which Spirits you like. Litany of Curses and Milk Storm are both quite solid since reducing two useful to reduce stats at once is hard to beat. With the latest expansion it feels like Milk Storm is a bit better since lots of things love to raise their attack which means Litany of Curses is a bit less effective.

I would vary much like to debate hut I open with megab**b. And have found using milk store 5 times with her defense and stamina maxed evenly with affection points, makes for a great all attack base. Meaning with her as your main before confronting anything, as long g as you negate the accuracy and defense 5 times either milk storm. You are one shotting everything.

Thanks, that's another one I'd known at one point but forgotten lol.

I think the last I've found is Growleen has Howl which lowers defense for the enemy team.

Ironically I think I knew that one but forgot, thanks. Added to the guide.

Tinky also has Team Chant. Seems like that's a popular move to give to spirits.

Hmm yeah, my 20 Bellend's poison does 13 a tick on a level 18 so yeah that does seem to be the case, tho I don't exactly have a team of poison users to try out.

There are different levels of poison. From what I have seen Serpentina's / Serpentax's Poison spit move is a really strong one.
