If Steam is installed in the Default Directory it should be in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Life Tastes Like Cardboard"

Otherwise just right click on the game name, go to Propeties > Instaled Files > Open Instalation Folder.

There extract the saves from the .zip file.

You can download the saves from Google Drive, just copy and paste and you will be able to access the 12 chapters on the game...

After checking its likely just a janky template, the itch.io version is the exact same.

You can just press U on the chapter select page to unlock all chapters, and no this is not how the game saves work, I believe those are either janky templates used to create the save backups, or they're used in the itch.io release of the game, but the proper saves are stored in %appdata%\local\Life_Tastes_Like_Cardboard_v1_0 for the steam version at least.
I'll have to check the itch.io version to be sure.
