(0.7) Frog Builds: Yuzuki Choco
By OKadenVT
Here's my build for Choco! Roughly updated for 0.7~
This works rather efficiently for clearing all stages and can last a good long while in endless.

Introduction/Example Builds
Here's 3 different example builds you can make out of this guide! Feel free to swap around any items as desired.

Offensive Variant: Designed a lot more for face-tanking and damage output.

Defensive Variant: Designed more for longevity, less reliant on eating damage.

Financial Gain Variant: Designed to get Holocoins! I'd still recommend running Irys or Korone instead, though.
Weapons, Items, Stamps, and Stat Priority
Weapons:
  • Main Weapon (Love Needle)
Use Weapon Limit from the shop to make sure you aren't getting other weapons in the level-up rotation!

Items:
  • Breastplate / Body Pillow / Super Chatto Time!
  • Beetle
  • Full Meal
  • Focus Shades / Membership?
  • Nurse's Horns

Explanation
Yuzuki Choco is a fun character with a strong kit and enjoyable gimmick to work off of. She focuses on two things with her build; Critical hits and healing.
Her Special isn't super important to her kit as it's just a lot more Charm and makes enemies vulnerable to more damage. It's good to use if you're in a pinch.

Her main weapon Love Needle is the following (When maxed out):
  • Love Needle: Thrusts 3 Neeldes in front. Targets hit by the tip of the needle take 1.5 times damage, and critical hits have a 20% chance to heal Choco for 5 HP.
Her skills are as follows (When maxed out):
  • Nurse: All Heals may become Crit Heals, healing 2x the amount. If healing 12 HP or more, nearby targets also receive a "heal", taking 400% Crit Damage.
  • Chocotto Cooking: Targets may drop Cooking Supplies. Every 10 Supplies, make a dish to heal 10% HP and gain a +20% Crit Damage stack for 10 seconds, (max 60%).
  • Demon Whisper: On a crit, there is a 33% chance to Charm 1 target (max 15) to your side and help for 8 seconds. Target gains Choco's ATK and SPD.

Starting with critical hits since it's a smaller section, crit-hit is important to activating Demon Whisper, which allows you to Charm enemies and make them fight for you. As for items, Focus Shades is one of the most important items for any ranged or multishot crit-hit builds! It has good potential for damage. Hope Soda is another big option to include here, but since Choco already has a damage boost for critical hits, it isn't as important and can be swapped with Headphones for more defense or another desired item such as Halu.

Onto healing, getting Nurse's Horns can make the Nurse skill proc a TON as long as you have full meal, so getting both is very important. You can take Just Bandage or Uber Sheep instead if you need, but they likely won't be able to cause the "heal" to happen as often.

For the miscellaneous items, Beetle is arguably the most important to have out of all of them. It boosts the "heal" damage like crazy, so it's really important to have to focus on that aspect of Choco's kit. I believe this also affects Charmed enemies, but I'm not completely sure.

The other 2 items are pretty freely interchangeable, but I recommend taking a mitigation (Body Pillow or Headphones) item, and another damage (Hope Soda or Breastplate) item. If you wanted to, you could also replace Focus Shades with Membership.

If you want to do a build for getting more holocoins, you could run Super Chatto Time! and Halu in their corresponding places on the list above, but I still recommend just using Irys or Korone or whoever else to do that instead, since Choco's damage output is rather high and her Love Needle isn't super fast even if you boost her Haste stat.
Extra Information
Build Variant Notes:
  • Defensive Variant is designed to last longer in runs via mitigation rather than vitality, so it's good for running endless. You could also run hardcore with this build, but since Choco's kit is so focused on healing it'd fall kind of flat.
  • Offensive Variant is definitely more build to get through stages, but it has potential to last longer in endless if you bring Headphones instead of Hope Soda.
  • Financial Gain Variant is self explanatory, but as I've previously mentioned it's not as good for getting holocoins as other characters could be due to Choco's lack of haste and higher damage output per attack (leads to less hits = less holocoins)
General Notes:
  • As of 0.7, Full Meal is now required for Nurse's Horns to be able to proc the Nurse Skill consistently.
  • Some items are a lot less required in the build than others. Figure out what you prefer!
  • Stamps can also be swapped around as you please! Solo stamp should generally stay no matter what though since it's a solo weapon build.
  • Stat priority can be flexible depending on what you need, I just really like having high crit chance and haste lol
  • Super Headphones or Super Body pillow would be super good for the build, but RNG is a cruel cruel mistress, so don't worry too much about trying to get either one.
Closing Words
A lot of builds in this game come down to personal preference, but I wanted to share it in case anyone would like to use it. 🐸

I'm super happy to answer any questions and I would be very happy to know if you enjoyed playing around with it!! Along with this, please feel free to give any input you may have.
This guide is roughly updated for 0.7! I have yet to play a lot of the new content, but I am filling in with what I know. I will continue to update as I see fit!

this just in: with the 0.7 update, the healing DOES in fact matter, so you'll probably want to take full meal ! :')
