Breeding is done in the inventory when a Sim has collected at least two frogs. Breeding two frogs of different types will result a new frog with mixed genes!

However, frogs can only be bred once every four hours in game.

There are a total of 25 Frogs to collect (26 if you own the Life and Death expansion pack).

Frogs have two type of genes :

• Dirt, Leaf, Eggplant, Heart, Sunflower
  
• None/No Type, Striped, Spotted, Surf, Whirl

Small note, there is no actual way nor need to feed the frogs you have collected.

If trying to find a certain species of frog or complete the collection, you could end up with several frogs of the same variety. With so many different types of frogs taking up space in your Sims inventory, you may wonder what to do with all the ones you catch and breed that you no longer require...

• Display
  Frogs can be taken from your Sims inventory and displayed within the house - If placed in a room it will add a +3 Environment rating.
  
• Sell Them!
  Selling frogs can earn a nice amount of money :
  Common frogs sell between $10 - $30, Uncommon frogs sell between $10 - $120, Rare frogs sell between $25 - $160
  
• Cook
  With Level 7 Cooking Skill a Sim can create the Boiling Hot Frog Pot dish
  
• Use as Bait
  Frogs can be used as bait to collect fish as soon as a Sim reaches Level 3 Fishing skill
  
• Plasma Packs
  Frogs can be used to create Plasma Packs if you have the Vampires game pack as soon as a Sim reaches Level 4 of the Vampiric Lore skill. This works for both vampiric and non-vampiric Sims!
  Frogs produce higher quality plasma packs than fish and quenches more thirst!
  
• Alchemy
  With the Realm of Magic game pack, spellcasters can learn sixteen potions. Three of these potions will require frogs - Specifically the Dirt Frog, Spotted Dirt Frog and Spotted Heart Frog.

As previously mentioned, if you own the Life and Death expansion pack, you will be able to find an additional frog in the world : the Death Frog.

This frog is different from the other collection as it has a fancy glass terrarium.
Unlike previous frogs, this frog can NOT be bred with other frogs.


This frog can be used to make the Boiling Frog Hot Pot however it's name will be changed to Boiling Death Frog Hot Pot. When eaten by living sims, they will temporary become a ghost with a random Death Trait and receive a warning to not eat this dish too often. Doing so could potentially kill your sim!

However, eating the hot pot as a ghost is beneficial as it will refill your sims stamina.
