I fully upgraded the gardens, since each upgrade gives a decent boost to production or efficiency.
You probably don’t need to buy the Scareslime or Miracle Mix upgrades if you're confident the slimes are safe and fruits don’t stay on the ground for too long.

If you are still before unlocking the last teleporter, skip the one to Viktor's Workshop as the travel distance between the Lab teleporter and the teleporter spot in the Workshop is really short and you won't miss it that much. Use the pink teleporter to replace the one you're still missing as the link to the ruins is far more important and the pink teleporter is unlocked early and cheap to rebuild (I moved it around several times before I unlocked others).
Glass Desert has unique resources for all extractors. I ran 2 of each in the Desert and 4 per respective unique zone, not all 6 in the latter as the guide says.
If you want to keep a stock of plorts instead of selling everything, set the target to corral instead of plort collector. The drones then only take plorts from the corral floor and the stock in the plort collector stays full.
1. Overgrowth layout moved to the Docks.
2. Overgrowth: 2 incinerators and an advanced drone to burn both free range vegetables and fruit.
3. No ponds built in any slot, as the layout misses the fact there are 2 free range ponds in the Manor and 1 in the Workshop - no need to build one when we get 3 for free.
4. Rubber ducky toy lets us keep 5 slimes per pond without stopping slort production.
5. I recommend using a mod which disables fire slimes jumping at toys, which was at one point patched out by the devs but then somehow reintroduced. Without the mod, fire slimes eventually jump out of the ash and die. With the mod, I have no issue keeping more than 4 slimes per incinerator.
This leaves 2 free slots in the Overgrowth, which can be anything the player wants.
That could be a good idea. I'm not sure why the layout author chose this specific setup, but I’d recommend watching their video — there might be something important to consider before making changes.
