[Updated] Gold Curse for Solo players
By Turnspear
This Guide is for Exclusively Solo players. While there are other guides that go into detail on how to cheese the tall tales with another player. This guide is designed in the off chance that you do not have anyone to help you. I will also be going into details on some tips and tricks that will help you optimize your time to make going through them fast and simple.

Introduction
The main focus of this Guide is for solo players. Specifically people who can't do the checkpoint glitch with another player. This means that we need to use other methods to make going through the tall tales as efficient as possible.
Going through the main tall tales
To start
I would suggest going through all nine tall tales without looking through any guides so that you can gain some familiarity with them. (However if you get stuck I think using a guide is okay)

Use of guides
After you have gained some familiarity with the Tall tales. I would suggest using guides to speed up the process. There are already a ton of guides for all the nine tall tales so I will not be covering each tall tale individually.

Using the checkpoint system to your advantage
One of the reasons I suggest going through each of the tall tales without guides first is so that you can get a good feel for the sailing times of each tall tale itself. There are some quirks with the checkpoint system which makes it so you can shave a lot of sailing time off by quitting and logging back in to dive to the next island. Especially if you are focused on doing this solo I would highly suggest that you use the checkpoint system to your advantage.

A weird bug that can occur (but is very helpfull)
There is also an interesting bug that can happen whenever you are doing some of the tall tales, where you can get a double complete with the checkpoint system. I do not fully understand how this works but as far as I am aware of it just happens occasionally. And you can get a two for one clear on whichever tall tale it happens too.

The shores of gold tall tale
A different approach
I would go through this tall tale a little differently. There happens to be a really big oversight with the waterfall section that allows you to use the grapple gun to go backwards through the tall tale and into the boss room without collecting all the medallions. The reason I suggest doing this skip is because it saves a TON of time considering how long it can take to get all four medallions solo.

To start
Dive to morrows peak to begin the tall tale and then head to the shores of gold. Next once you are on the shores of gold go directly to the waterfall area.

once you get to the waterfall walk in and aim your grapple gun where it is indicated.

After you are inside walk down until you reach the funnel where you drop down into a pit of water. after you jump down head up a ladder and get to this point here.

Now this is the important step. It is somewhat precise but you have to aim the grapple gun Exactly where indicated.

After you get to the out of bounds spot walk left and you should fall down below the boss arena and swim to this point here.

once you reach the spike room floor you will need to use the grapple gun one more time to get in bounds again.
Finish
Thanks for reading this guide and I hope you found it helpful! If you noticed any flaws in my descriptions please let me know in the comments.
