the setup on how to get to energy pod VI.
it takes a lot of space. but if you can get a steady supply of energy pod II from
the jungle biome you can cut the creating of energy pod II

4 energy pod IV buildings
2 energy pod V buildings
1 energy pod VI building

total of 31 energy colliders

9 dispensers (use smarts ones - less micro managment)
6 stockpils











simple way to explain



















so the way i do the entering and dividing
in this example they come from the top on the main trail
they pass the stockpile gate with is set to - enter if LESS then 100 -
the they pass the counter gate that is set to 4 (cause for colliders in the row)
then they pass the dispenser and then a divider
when they come back before they hit the dispenser they pass the old gate












after the dispenser they get divided onto 4 trails.
when they get to the collider there is a carry gate that lets them enter if NOT carrying anything.
so they go back to the dispenser.
if they are carrying anything they go to the stockpile and come back to the dispenser.
you can make it more controled with counter and end gate's on the colliders but its not really needed.
i make sure i have 1 row between the setups so i can put in lights to speed them up










the same principle can be applied to the 2 and 1 collider like this













so to create the energy pod II you need a constant supply of 32 energy pod I
it takes about 16-17 secs to create a energy pod
so with a really rough calculation you need to harvest 1.9 energy pods I every second (if you use 17secs/pod creating) to keep up.
in reality it will be less because of the travel time the ants need to get to colliders/dispensers/stockpile - but it will change when you put in lamps

so this is my idea of a rough setup on energy colliding.
there is room for improvement but it works fine like this

so at the end i create 1 energy pod VI every 17 seconds.
i can set the feeding of the queen to every 18 secs and still get a surplus of energy pod VI
feeding the queen every 18sec with a energy pod VI will get you a lot of ants.
it will even out after a while but you will always have a steady supply of new ants that way.
and if you want you can feed her extra with some other energy pods you have on surplus.

UPDATE COUNTERS :











NOTE the coloured trails is to make it more clear.
use the normal and hauling trails
so the yellow line is the suppling line
blue is the stockpile line
purple is the return to dispenser or old gate.


1 = stockile gate
2 = countergate on entering the setup
3 = countergate set to 1
4 = timergate set to 0 sec
5 = carry gate that detects if carrting the created energy pod -> for putting into stockpile

so on entering the ants check the dispenser go the collider when its in there the second ant will go past to the next, then 2 things can happen either the ant is creating the new energy pod and gets rerouted to the stockpile or it doesnt and goes straight back to the dispenser.
you can make it do both side as you see in the setup. you can line them up but for example i offset them to make it more clear
you can leave a extra row i case you wanne place lights.

if you go for setup of 4 x 2 row i would put in 9 or 10 ants.
just to make sure there is always a ant in a counter.

as you can see the whole line is green from the first counter, so it wont put in more ants after you reached the limit of the number you set on the counter that lets your ants enter the setup.

NOTE : this is onley to get the pod VI to provide to the queen. if you use energy pods for something else you gonna have to ramp up production for that.
if you can feed the queen a energy pod 6 every 30 secs you get up to 1000 ant pop / 50 larva minute.

Nice work, I would like to add some info since I just tested this. The feeding ceiling which is called "The Final Stage" will give you 2000 Max Population and 100 Larvae per Minute. It drains @ 25 Energy per Second.

I used this as a guide -- it helps -- I used the counter/counter stop gates at each machine, no diividers.
The Energy V Pods are 50 energy - one pod will fill a type 2 inventor ant. Makes it nice and easy.
