Critters For Sale - Endings and Exploration

General Info
Welcome to this bizarre point and click adventure game. Generally speaking, if I don't mention an option, it will not change your ending. Each section is a list of steps, in order, to accomplish to get each ending. Skip any step that is for an ending you've already done, or don't want to reach. Once you get an ending, you'll have to start that critter from the beginning again for the next ending.
The Snake
  • - (snake ending 1) : Go back to sleep.
  • - All other endings: Go to the limelight club.
  • - Enter Limelight Club
  • - talk to receptionist
  • - (ending 4/5) break the cat statue, get a key from its head
  • - go down hallway 2x
  • - (ending 4/5) look at the giza painting on your left, and lose yourself in its beauty.
  • - (ending 4/5) Use the statue key on the door on your left. Choose the paradise architects (ending 5) or noid men (ending 4).
  • - go down hallway 3x, enter lobby.


  • - (ending 2/3) Talking to the man on the left with the briefcase, highlighted red, will move you towards snake ending 2 (lie) or 3 (truth).
  • - Talk to the wildly-dancing clubber in the back, highlighted blue, and tell them you have eaten snake. This unlocks the snake-eater doors on the right.
  • - Optionally, you can talk to everyone else here.
  • - Go back twice. For ending six, enter the snake-eater door on the right.
  • - (ending 6) Place dots on new york, morocco, jordan desert, and korea.





  • - (ending 6) click statue
  • - (ending 6) enter elevator
  • - (ending 6) go down, exit elevator. See a brain with 3A written on the back of it.
  • - (ending 6) Get back in the elevator. Go up twice.
  • - (ending 6) Exit elevator. Snake ending six.
  • - Keep going back. If you see a cat, you can talk to it. It wants you to try ending 4/5.
  • - Go back again. You can enter the *second* snake-eater door on the right, to see a floating room full of souls. I don't think it does anything. I'm not sure what's up with that. We'll see those names again though.
  • - At this point, you can choose the door for ending six, go talk to the man with the briefcase for ending 2/3, or the door for ending 4/5.
The Goat
  • - enter tent
  • - exit tent
  • - talk to stefan
  • - (Ending 1) keep goat with you as you proceed. Click on it every screen.
  • - Otherwise, leave goat behind.
  • - travel through the desert. You can talk to stefan each screen if you like.
  • - (Ending 2) do not stare into the well
  • - Otherwise, stare into the well
  • - continue forwards
  • - (Ending 3) White pill
  • - (Ending 4) Black pill
The Monkey
This one does not branch.

  • - go straight, optionally talking to anyone you feel like, including the vendor's guest if you want.
  • - When you see a building with two doors, the one on the left is locked, so go through the right.
  • - go straight to the livingroom, where you can talk to people if you like
  • - go straight once
  • - enter the room on your left and steal the key from the table
  • - go back until you see the two doors again
  • - unlock the one on the left and enter it
  • - inspect and solve the sliding puzzle on the wall (I am bad at sliding puzzles; if anyone in the comments has a series of moves that will solve it, I'd be in your debt)
  • - Go back through the main door, through the livingroom, down the hall, past where the barrier used to be
  • - talk to the woman
  • - enter the room in the center
  • - talk to the maalem in the center
  • - go back until you see a cutscene. ending reached.
The Spider

The Dragon
This one does not branch, but does rely on information from other endings.

Actual walkthrough coming soon, but here's the solutions I have:

  • Door 1, the Phone: Call 555-0-555-8959, and press the check mark, for a secret. For story progression, call 850-2-380-7788, get a pin 6911. Take the right path, talk to the tiger. Receive Talisman.
  • Door 2, middle path, the safe. 3A "Eastern Nosferatu" + 4C "Metamorphosis Project" = "Eastern Nosferatu Metamorphosis". Receive talisman.
  • Door 3, go straight, talk to the colonel. Hear a 6 note pattern. Play the 6 note pattern on the piano. Receive talisman. (I am awful at perfect pitch, help identifying the code here would be useful)
  • Door 4, get kicked out, enter again. Talk to man until he gives you the phone number for door 1. Go straight, see a spider. Input some patterns, get talisman.
  • Go straight, enter pin 6911. Scroll around to find the talisman slots, and put the talismans in.
