Movement is one of the most important aspects in FragPunk. Your movement while fighting, or those 5 seconds you saved from charging your knife when rotating can make all the difference in your games.
Movement during combat
Unlike games like Valorant or Counter-Strike where you have to stop to move, FragPunk allows for minimal weapon spread while moving, at least when using ADS (aim down sights). This means that you should constantly be moving while fighting someone. Make sure to strafe left and right, and not just in one direction (to stay more unpredictable).

Additionally, you can pair this up with crouching; not always staying crouched, but half the time standing and half the time crouching. All while strafing. This will make it harder for your opponent to hit you since your head will be going up and down.

You can try practicing this type of movement (and even just your gunfights in general) in the Battle Rotation gamemodes (Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Glunite Rush). You can do this by pressing play, going to the ā€˜Arcade’ tab and playing Battle Rotation.
Walking vs running vs silent walking
Your character is by default walking. You can move faster if you run by holding left shift. However, this makes a lot of noise (walking too but not as much). You can walk silently by holding left alt, but it’s 2x slower than running. Note that using ADS and crouching are the same speed as walking silently, so you might just wanna ADS while clearing corners silently.

Extra note: I did some testing and found out that crouching, switching weapons and charging knife dash don't make noise for the enemies. However, falling, knife dashing, climbing do make noise. Pretty useful, works the same in Valorant and CS btw.

Extra note 2: On the minimap, there is a circle around your character that shows how far you're making noise. When you run and make a ton of noise, the circle is large. When your walking it's smaller. When you're silent, you can't see the circle. Again, similar to Valorant and CS.
Knife dashing
Holding M2 (mouse button 2; right click) with your melee allows you to charge up a dash. You don’t have to charge it up fully to dash, however, charging it up fully allows you to cover greater distance, allowing you to travel faster. After some testing, I found out that fully charging and charging halfway are about the same speed.

Side note: most people, including me, do a jump and slightly aim upwards when knife dashing. I don’t know if this makes a difference, but you should know about it
How to cancel the cooldown for knife dashing
After knife dashing, there’s a cooldown before you can charge up the dash again. However, you can bypass this cooldown with a bit of multitasking:
1) Charge up your knife and dash
2) Switch to any other gun
3) Switch back to your knife

Shaving a second off per knife dash may seem redundant, but the time adds up when you're crossing long distances (like when you’re rotating). Essentially, the time saved by doing this could win you some rounds by outrunning your opponent, rotating to your teammates faster, etc.

Try to practice this in a custom game to get the hang of it before using it in games.
Knife jump peeking
Jump peeking is a technique found in many FPS games where instead of peeking a corner normally, you jump to make it faster. It’s done to bait out sniper shots or to safely gather info.

Jump peeking can be done too in FragPunk, by knife dashing:
1) Fully charge your knife
2) Run towards the corner and jump
3) Turn around and knife dash back to the starting position

This is a bit hard to explain in words, but I hope you get the gist of it. I might show a clip of me doing it if enough people ask.

If you get good enough, here are some tips to optimise your jump peeks:
1) Look at your minimap instead of your screen. This way you can see what enemies there are (since you’re probably jump peaking too fast to see it on your screen)
2) There’s a small delay between you releasing M2 and your character actually doing the dash. Try to let go of M2 right after you jump to make the jump peek faster.

Be sure to practice this in a custom game since this is one of the harder mechanics, and you don’t want to die to a Hollowpoint while testing out a new mechanic.
Jumping around corners
Pretty self explanatory:
1) Run towards a corner
2) Jump around it while holding W and A/D and moving your camera in the appropriate direction
3) Knife dash if you know the corner is safe or if you need to run as fast as possible

This is a bit faster than simply walking around the corner.
Crossing narrow passageways
If you’re scared someone is holding a narrow passageway (like a door or a small tunnel), you can knife dash across it. If you’re using Corona and you’re desperate to cross, you can use your molly ability on yourself to cross extremely fast.
Crouch climb instead of mantling
To climb up some boxes/a wall, you might think mantling is the way to go. However, crouch climb not only is faster, but also lets you get up higher. Additionally, you’re not able to use your weapon when mantling, but you can when crouch climbing. To do this:
1) Jump while moving towards the boxes
2) Hold crouch when you reach the top of the box

You can also pair this up with knife dashing to get to spots you normally wouldn’t be able to get to (jump, knife dash while looking upwards and then crouch when you reach the top)
Bhopping
Bunny-hopping is where you strafe left and right in the air. You’re able to bhop in FragPunk, but it's similar to Valorant bhopping where there isn't any benefit to bhopping, just cosmetic. You don't gain any speed or momentum from it due to jump fatigue.

To bhop:
1) Hold A while turning your camera left or vice versa
2) Jump immediately when you land
3) Hold the opposite directional key and turn your camera in the opposite direction
4) Repeat

Important tip: bind jump scroll wheel up/down so you can just scroll up/down instead of manually timing each jump. (Pick either scroll wheel up or down, don't bind them both by replacing the space bar, unless you're strange)
TL;DR
1) Always stay moving while fighting; strafe left and right
2) Crouch up and down while fighting
3) Running is 2x as fast as silently walking, but makes a lot of noise
4) ADS and crouching are both silent and the same speed at silently walking, so use ADS when silently clearing corners
5) You can dash with your knife by holding M2, fully charge it up to dash further (in turn making you travel faster)
6) You can cancel the cooldown for knife dashing if you quickly switch to another weapon and back to your melee
7) You can jump peek corners by knife dashing to bait a sniper shot or to safely gather info
8) You can jump around corners by holding W and A/D and moving your camera in the appropriate direction
9) If you’re scared someone is holding a cross narrow passageway (like doors and small tunnels), you can cross it by knife dashing. If you have Corona and you’re desperate, you can use his molly to cross even faster
10) Mantling is bad, crouch climb instead by jumping and then hold crouch. It’s faster and you can get up higher
11) You can pair crouch climbing with knife dashing to get up even higher
12) You can bhop by jumping, knife dashing, holding A/D while your camera to its respective direction, jumping instantly when landing, and repeat
13) Bind scroll wheel to jump to bhop
14) However, bhopping doesn't make you faster or anything, just cosmetic

(Can someone explain why the comments section was filled with 2 pages of redemption codes after I stopped checking on the guide for a few days?? Let’s be realistic, no one is using your redemption code over the millions of other ones, so let’s just stick to actual comments.)
