Before joining a game for Vikram Rajan (Deadly) Rank 17 make sure you have these things :

1. You have a Garuda at rank 13 with piercing weapons equiped (either La Piqure 3 or Divine Thunder). Garudas with piercing weapons have higher success rate to bring Vikram 17 down.
   
   
2. For Auxiliary go with either Blightkeeper or Little Grace 3 for healing. Either of them will do.
   
   
3. Use either Ouroboros or Black Prince for Armour on your ship.
   
   
4. For furniture I use these : Tueling's Guidance (Main), Front Power Kegs I, Charge Stores, Long Gun Works I, Beam Supports, High-Velocity Kegs. But it's up to you to decide what are the best furniture depending on your playstyle.
   
   
5. And lastly don't forget before joining to put 5 Pulsing Schaduw Remnants on your cargo.
