In this guide, I’ll walk you through all the possible fixes for sound and microphone issues.

(1) Restart OR Run as Admin

  • Restart your PC and try launching the game again.
  • (OR) Run FragPunk and Steam as Administrator—this might help.
(2) Verify Game Files

  • Instead of reinstalling the game, verify the integrity of the game files. This acts as a "repair" function and may fix missing or corrupted files.
(3) Update your Driver

  • Make sure your PC and drivers are fully updated.
(4) Adjust Audio Settings

  • Toggle "Keep Audio Playing in the Background" on and off in the game settings—this has worked for many players.
  • If that doesn’t help, try switching between different output devices in the settings. This personally worked for me and many others.
