Introduction

Hello everyone! I just want to share with you some optimization tips, that helped me reach peak performance in inZOI and might be helpful for you to have better gameplay.
I don't have big experience in creating guides, so don't judge and feel free to give your feedback in comments.

I didn't create any of the files, that I mention here.
Credits to dreams897, xowny and FrancisLouis for doing this increadible work in such short time, support them on NexusMod.

Also use this guide at your own risk, I can not guarantee that those tips will be helpful for everyone, but they should be to great percent of the players.
1. NVIDIA Control Panel
From devs about GPU driver versions:
Optimal driver version for NVIDIA GPUs:
 - RTX 50 Series → Driver version 572.83 (latest)
 - RTX 40 Series → Driver version 566.36 (released December 2024)
Using driver versions 572.xx or later may result in occasional frame drops or stuttering
 - RTX 30 Series or earlier → Latest driver recommended
If issues persist, we recommend installing version 566.36

First of all you may setup your Control Panel Settings.
Just right-click on your desktop and go in "NVIDIA Control Panel"

Go into "3D Settings" and set your preset to "Performance":

Then go into "Manage 3D settings" -> "Program Settings" -> Select inZOI (inzoi.exe)
Search for settings highlighted on screen and change the value as showed:

2. Engine Optimization
For this one you will need to download custom Engine.ini on NexusMods.

1) Engine.ini created by dreams897
Just click on the link and download "Dream's Engine Tweaks" file.

Engine Tweaks by dreams897[www.nexusmods.com]

Then open the following path in your File Explorer:
C:\Users\YOUR-USER-NAME\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Config\Windows

Drop Engine.ini here -> right-click on it -> Properties -> Set Attributes to "Read-only"

2) Engine.ini created by xowny

inZOI SPF by xowny[www.nexusmods.com]

Then open the following path in your File Explorer:
C:\Users\YOUR-USER-NAME\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Config\Windows

Drop Engine.ini here -> right-click on it -> Properties -> Set Attributes to "Read-only"

This file should optimize your CPU and GPU usage by tweaking multi-core rendering and multi-threaded shader compilation.

You can also download "Optional files" from same link, they will also increase your performance
xowny also created guides how to properly install any of those files, find it on the page.

3. Optimization Mods
For this section you will also need to download mod created by FrancisLouis on NexusMods.
This mod should work fine combined with custom Engine.ini (it worked for me), but if you have any troubles - try to use them separately.

1) Download inZOI Mod Enabler. This allows to load unsigned mods by putting them in the "~mods" folder.

Mod Enabler by FrancisLouis[www.nexusmods.com]

Just drop the file into your inZOI main directory (example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\inZOI)

2) Download inZOI Optimizer. This will reduce stuttering by optimizing assets and shader compilation.

Optimizer by FrancisLouis[www.nexusmods.com]

Create folder named "~mods" in BlueClient\Content\Paks\ (example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\inZOI\BlueClient\Content\Paks\~mods) and drop .pak file right here

3) inZOI Stability Config. Boosts performance and cuts stuttering by optimizing shaders, asset streaming, and CPU/GPU usage.

Stability Config by Alorro[www.nexusmods.com]

Same installation as Optimizer. Mod have version for Low-End PCs, you can try that for best performance

4. Frame Generation Fix
If you have NVIDIA RTX videocard - you probably know about Frame Generation feature.
In inZOI it gives you big performance boost, but causes some troubles(like screen tearing and stuttering).

Here are some fixes, how you can fix them and enable Frame Generation properly.

1) Disable overlays and screen capture apps.
You should disable NVIDIA overlay and any screen capture programs, because developers say they might cause some problems in-game, when you have FrameGen enabled.

2) Disable Ray Tracing and set your game in "Fullscreen Mode", as it might be the most common issues in combination with FrameGen.

3) Disable "Low Latency Mode" and set "Max Frame Rate" in NVIDIA Control Panel. Those are common fixes for most of modern games with FrameGen and it worked for me personally.

Max Frame Rate should be determined by your monitor refresh rate.
If you have 60hz(or you have less then 60fps in-game) - use 58fps = decrease it by 2
If you have 75hz - use 73fps = decrease it by 2
etc.
Using FSR FrameGen with DLSS
To allow game to use FSR with NVIDIA GPU you need to manually change it in setting files.
That should improve game visuals and also gain you +5-10 frames.

1) Go To C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\BlueClient\Saved\Config\Windows and open GameUserSettings.ini with NotePad
2) Search for lines "DLSSValue" and "FSR3FI"
3) Change them like that. You may change DLSS value based on your PC performance
DLSSValue=1 (1=UltraPerformance 2=Performance 3=balanced 4=Quality)
FSR3FI=True

(make sure you have set FSR 3 Value=0 and DLSSG=False)

5. Helpful Mods
This section is for some useful files that you can find on Nexus mods. Installed them by myself and they work fine and make my life much more easier.

1) Skip the intro videos. Just simple skip of intro, when you launch the game.
Skip Intro by FrancisLouis[www.nexusmods.com]

Drop file into your inZOI main folder, as you did with Mod Enabler.

2) Remove Blur. Simply removes annoying blur from any place it used.
Remove Blur by FrancisLouis[www.nexusmods.com]

Drop file in "~mods" folder.

3) Remove Heart VFX. Simply removes annoying heart effect during bed scenes.
Remove Heart by FrancisLouis[www.nexusmods.com]

4) Change Age and Time. With this mod you can change fast-forward time and aging settings

RebelCore - Age and Time by BlackBookOfficial[www.nexusmods.com]

Use config.lua to change any settings in the mod. Same installation as always.

Summary
All of this settings should increase your FPS by at least 20 on any PC, which meet minimal game requirements.

I will update this guide with any useful files and optimization tips that I will find. So you can check it from time to time, if you want to.

Ask any questions or leave feedback in comment section, I will try to answer to everything and help you.

If this guide was helpful to you - please rate it with thump up and leave your comment! <3
Thanks for your attention and have a good luck in inZOI sessions!

inZOI optimizer does not seem to work that nice for me, SPF however did work well reducing my ram usage from 15gb to 7gb with no performance loss + loss of stutter using FSR3.1 so that no ghosting happens.

The stutters go away after enabling frame gen.

Guide Update.
Added new helpful mod, that allows you to fast-forward time much faster (up to 100x). That also affect ageing and can be changed in mod settings.

Annabell, can you upload screenshot to imgur.com and show which error and on which setting you have?
Annabell 31 Mar @ 1:01am
Anyone knows why this doesn´t work for me? It says, that it is not possible to change the settings. On other games I have no problems but here I can´t change one single setting from the Pictures of Nvidia you have shown. :(
