Crawlid

The Crawlid is the First enemy that will be encountered in Hallownest. They will not attempt to attack the Knight, and will simply crawl around a certain area, their only source of danger is their 1 mask of contact damage. They have less health than Husks and are slightly less common. They can be Nailbounced on (See the Nail Section for more info) to access ground to high to jump onto.

Their Locations are:

The large circle indicates that Crawlids can be found all through that area.

They can mainly be found in the Howling Cliffs .
Vengefly
Vengefly's are the main flying enemy in the game, easily defeatable. mostly found in the howling cliffs and forgotten crossroads, however also found inGreenpath, the City of Tears, the Colosseum of Fools, and the Blue Lake. They can also be spawned by the Collector and Vengefly Kings.

Hovers in the air, moving around a small area. Emits a squawk before homing in on the Knight when they come in range.

One of the first and easiest enemies in the game. Either wait and strike when it gets within range, or jump and strike down at it. Either way, it will continue to move towards the Knight, making it possible to stay in one place and continue attacking until it is dead.

Gruzzer
TikTik
The TikTik is similar to the Crawlid, however, it can crawl around corners instead of just turning around. They can be found on floating rocks and platforms where they crawl 360 around it. They are white in colour instead of gray. They behave almost exactly like Crawlids.

Wandering Husk

The Wandering Husk is one of the first enemies that will be encountered in the game, they stick to their name-sake, and when not attacking, will wander around a certain area until killed. They cannot jump, so if the knight is on slightly elevated ground, they will not be able to hit the knight unless they get too close, they have 15 health.

When they see the Knight, they will slowly run towards them with their arms outstretched, if they run into the knight, they will deal 1 mask of contact damage. They can switch direction mid-run if the knight jumps over to the other side of them. They drop 3 Geo.

Husk Hornhead

The Husk Hornhead is similar to the wandering husk, as when it is not attacking, it wanders around in a certain spot. When it sees the Knight, it will bend it head down, point its horn at you, and then charge at the Knight. Its charge is faster than the Wandering Husk's run, and it can be hard to kill it before it hits you. If it hits you, or if you accidentally touch it, it will deal 1 mask of damage.

Just like all Husk Variants, they have 15 health. One way to dodge it is to jump over it and hit the back of it with your nail, or, due to the nail knocking enemies back lightly, you can hit it multiple times from the front. This will knock it back and stop it from reaching you before it is killed. Vengeful spirit can also be used to instantly kill it from a distance. Unlike other Husks, Husk Hornheads will drop 4 Geo.
Leaping Husk

The Leaping Husk is unique, as instead of running at the Knight, they will jump into the air and attempt to land on you. Just like all Husk variants, they will slowly wander around a certain area until they see the Knight. When they see the Knight, they will jump into the air and attempt to land on top of him, dealing 1 mask of damage. They can easily be avoided, and you will have plenty of time to strike them before they can leap at you again.

They are not as common as other husk variants, and will only be found in a few places along your journey. They drop 3 Geo.

They can be found:

*Due to problems the Leaping Husk green path locations cannot be listed.

*Due to problems the Leaping Husk green path locations cannot be listed.
*When the Crossroads become infected, the Leaping Husks near the top and the False knight area are replaced by Slobbering Husks.

Husk Bully

The Husk Bully is similar to the Wandering Husk, however, instead of running at the Knight, they will attempt to ram them with their shoulder. This covers less area but is faster, it deals 1 mask of damage on contact. They drop 3 Geo. They are slightly more common than Leaping Husks, but will still won't be encountered nearly as much as Wandering Husks.
Husk Warrior

The Husk Warrior is more dangerous than other husks, as it is armed with a nail and shield. It is capable of blocking hits before retaliating. Their shield can be avoided by nail bouncing on their head (see the nail section in this guide for more information). They are just Wandering Husks but with a shield and a nail, they deal 1 mask of damage when ran into and 1 mask of damage if they strike you with their nail.

They have the same amount of health as any other Husk (with the exception of the Husk Guard). They drop 6 Geo.
Husk Guard
The Husk guard is the least common of all the enemies that can be found in the Forgotten Crossroads. It can only be found in 2 places, 1 guarding a Grub and 1 guarding the entrance to the False Knight's arena. They have a large health pool and deal 2 masks of damage per nail hit and 1 mask of damage per shock-wave hit and contact damage.

Unlike the previous Husks, the Husk Guard has 2 attacks: one where it raises its nail above its head and slams the ground in front of it. The attack deals 2 masks of damage, it can be easily dodged however. The other is where it hops backward onto its butt, creating a shock-wave that travels across the floor, it has unlimited range but it clings low and can easily jumped over. It will often use this attack if the Knight is out of its slam attack.

They drop 45 Geo, making them a handy way of Geo farming.
The one blocking the Grub (near the top of the map) can be fought infinitely, but the one partly blocking the entrance to the False Knight will not be fight-able after the Crossroads become infected.
Baldur
Baldurs are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are small, crawling creatures who defend themselves by rolling into a ball.

Rolls into a ball and propels itself towards the Knight, bouncing off walls and other Baldurs. After a short time, it uncurls and reorients itself to face the Knight again.

Jump over it when it gets close and strike from above while doing so. Alternatively, using the Quick Slash or Heavy Blow Charm allow the Knight to continually knock it back before it can make contact.

They are found in the Ancestral Mound, Crystallized Mound, and the Howling Cliffs. They can also be spawned by the Collector and Elder Baldurs.

Elder Baldurs
Elder Baldurs are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are adult Baldurs with thick armour plating who block pathways. The ones guarding Ancestral Mound and the entrance to Greenpath are not optional and must be defeated in order to progress through the game.

Elder Baldurs can be killed with Spells, such as Vengeful Spirit/Shade Soul and Desolate Dive/Descending Dark. The spawned Baldurs can be killed to gather SOUL, which can then be used to cast Spells at the Elder Baldur when it is not curled.

One encounter on the boundary of Greenpath and the Howling Cliffs involves fighting two of them at once. Do not stand in the middle of the room; approach one Elder Baldur until it rolls into a ball and stay there until the other one has died.

They are found in 3 locations.

One in Ancestral Mound
One guarding the entrance to Greenpath
Two in the Howling Cliffs, inside a "trap chest".
Aspid Mother + Aspid Hatchlings
Aspid Mothers are enemies in Hollow Knight. They are the females of the Aspid species. Carrying their eggs inside their bodies, they can hatch and birth Aspid Hatchlings to attack threats.

When spawned by Aspid Mothers, Aspid Hatchlings fly towards the Knight if within range. Two additional ones spawn when the Mother dies.

Aspid Hatchlings are good sources of SOUL as they are easy to kill and come in big groups. Given this, in some scenarios, it is more beneficial to leave the Aspid Mother alive to farm her hatchlings.
Spoiler Warning
The enemies after this point are NOT from the Forgotten Crossroads and may spoiler future game.

Mosskin
The Mosskin is similar to the Wandering Husk, when it sees the knight, it will charge at them, slightly faster than the husk bully. Their statistics are the same as all Husk variants (with the exception of the Husk Guard). They can be found in a few places in Greenpath.

Due to them being similar to the Husk Bully, reading the Husk Bully page will supply you with information relevant to both the Husk Bully and The Mosskin.
