Uno Haters 100% Achievement Guide
By Masadaeus
Welcome all to the one and only achievement guide for Uno. You either love or hate this game and I bet I can guess which it is, it's also the reason you have no friends, so since you have no friends anymore, why not at least have a 100% on your steam profile? After all you can do all but one achievement in the AI mode so it's not like you really need friends anyway.

Welcome
Complete the First UNO round

Pretty simple, just play one round of the game, win or lose, you'll get this achievement.
Socializer
Win 10 Online Games

This is the one you may need friends for, or if you don't, you can play in an open online lobby. Simply do as it says and win 10 matches. They need to be full games, not just rounds, so if the games on multiple rounds you can either stick it out or join a different, single round, lobby.
Flying Higher
Win a game with more than 700 points

You can do this in a multiple round game, it does not have to be in a single round, thankfully. Create a new lobby and set the score limit on 750 or 1000. Then play the game and keep going until you win, I recommend 750 as it's likely you'll be near ~700 points anyway so one more game can set you over.
A Good Start
Win the First UNO game

Simply win, if you don't know how to do that already then I'm truly very sorry.
Be Heard
Successfully call UNO 10 times

During the game, you'll notice a little button the right side of the your cards. When you reach 2 cards and can place another, you'll see the button. Press that 10 times, it doesn't matter if you win or not, just press it 10 times.
Joker
Successfully make opponent draw cards with Wild Draw Four 10 times

We know the card as the '+4', just use this as often as you can, preferably with the modifier 'No bluffing' turned on, as this prevents them from challenging it and you potentially losing the draw.
Good Eye
Successfully challenge a missed UNO 15 times

As I've said before, in place of the UNO button on the right will be an exclamation mark instead. This happens when someone has one card but does not call UNO. Press this in time to make them draw 2 cards. Do this 15 times and it's yours.
Our House
Win 5 matches with at least 3 house rules

Before starting your game, make sure you enable 3 of the rules. It can be any 3, it doesn't matter. Just win with those rules and bosh.
Action
Play Action Cards 100 times

These are the 'special' cards that change up the game and include;
  • Wild Draw 4 (Black +4)
  • Wild Card (Colour Switcher)
  • Draw Two (Coloured +2)
  • Skip
  • Reverse
Just use them all a combined total of 100 times.
Just a Machine
Win 5 games against 3 AI

From the main menu, click on the local play option on the far left and 'Classic UNO' to start. Win 5 of these games (it's more annoying than you think to win too). These matches you can also take a break from, so if you leave, just select the 'Resume match' card in the local play menu.
The Right Choice
Change the Colour with Action Cards 40 times

This will come naturally with the other achievement listed, but essentially, just play either black wild card 40 times and make sure you switch to a different colour already on the pile.
Nerves of Steel
Win 20 Wild Draw Four challenges

Probably the most time consuming. When in a game, make sure the 'No Bluffing' rule is OFF. This way you can challenge the +4 card which is how you get this achievement. To win the challenge, the other person must have a card that they could have placed down before the +4 card, if they don't have a card they could have placed down, ie - they drawed from the deck, you will most likely lose the challenge. In other words, if they use the +4 just to spite you, you should challenge it.

Some advice for this if you're doing it in AI mode.
  • The AI will never draw preemptively if you are playing with 'Force Play', so when they draw and immediately place a +4, NEVER challenge it unless you want to prolong the game and give yourself more cards.

  • Sometimes the AI will jump in with another +4, so best bet to prevent this is to turn off the 'Jump In' rule.

  • I highly recommend turning on the '0-7' rule, as this prolongs the game and makes it more likely for a +4 to be played, plus if you have a +4 card and a 7, you can switch to the person behind you and hope they use it against you.

  • If you enabled 'Stacking' rule, and someone stacks a +4 to give you a +8, ALWAYS challenge it, it is very likely that they had a card to play and if not, what's the harm in having a few more cards you can give to someone else?

  • The 'Draw to Match' rule is handy for giving people a ton of cards, and can also help them get a +4 to use on you later. Ideally, 'Force Play' can be turned off if you would prefer.
