How To Disable Motion Blur
By Miki and 1 collaborators
Some players find motion blur distracting or unpleasant, but unfortunately, the game currently doesn't include an option to disable it in the settings menu.

Until the developers release an update that adds this feature, the only way to turn off motion blur is by manually editing a configuration file.

Follow the steps below to do it safely and effectively:

🔍 Step 1: Open the Config Folder (Not the Install Folder)
1. Press Windows + R, type in: %localappdata% and press Enter.

2. In the folder that opens, navigate to: \TSCGame\Saved\Config\Windows

3. Alternatively, you can manually go to: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\TSCGame\Saved\Config\Windows

Note: If you don't see the TSCGame folder, make sure you've launched the game at least once.
The folder is created only after the game runs for the first time.

⚙️ Step 2: Create or Edit Engine.ini
1. In the Windows folder, look for a file named Engine.ini.

2. If it doesn’t exist, right-click → New > Text Document → name it exactly: Engine.ini (make sure it’s not Engine.ini.txt).

3. Open the file with Notepad or any text editor.

4. Paste the following lines into the file:

[SystemSettings]
r.MotionBlur.Max=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0

5. Save the file.
🔒 Step 3: Make the File Read-Only
1. Right-click on the Engine.ini file and select Properties.

2. At the bottom, check the box labeled Read-only.

3. Click Apply, then OK.

This prevents the game from overwriting the file after you close it.

Are there any other sources of blur that we can disable e.g. FOV?

WindowsNoEditor may work for the old game version, but the new game version should be in the Windows folder. This is how it worked for me.
