1. Ambulance

- As far as I know, this car doesn't drive around town. Instead it can be found stationary in multiple locations. One of the locations is a lot north west of the Precinct, right across the intersection at the main entrance of the Precinct.
2. Astro ZX

- Can be found all over town, easily identified by its recognizable hood
3. Bison

- Not to be confused with the station wagon. This one does not have the wooden side panels.
4. Buzzard GTX

- Not to be confused with the Kamara. Does have a police counterpart at officer level 20, although that one might not be counted toward "commandeering" a vehicle.
5. Classic Van

- Nothing special about this one. Can be seen with or without bullbar but they they should be counted as the same car.
6. Garbage Truck

- Commandeering this has its own achievement. I think it's also part of this one. Can't miss it once you see it driving by.
7. Jefferson

- Basically the starter police cruiser without the colors. Can be found anywhere.
8. Kamara

- Not to be mistaken with the Buzzard GTX.
9. Musketeer

- This car can be found all over town. However there is an (almost) guaranteed spawn at the Police Chief parking spot behind the Precinct (It won't be there after the main storyline) .
10. News Van

- Although the News Van is still named a classic van, it might be seperate from the standard one regarding this achievement. (Credit: Thawcett)
I found it easiest to look for this on any highway.
11. Pickup Truck

- Also has its own Police counterpart but its normal version can be found anywhere.
12. Quinzo

- Unlike the similar sports/muscle cars, one of the recognizable features of this car are its mirrors on the hood.
13. Revelle

- Can be found driving around. Unlike the similar cars like the Jefferson, this car has a straight silver line right across the hood.
14. Station Wagon

- As mentioned before, best recognized by the wooden panels. Very common overall.
15. Taxi

- Not much to say here. It's a bright yellow taxi.
Let me know if I missed any cars. I only started making this guide after missing some myself. Hope this help! :D
Please note: There is a riot van that can be unlocked by leveling up. I don't think it's part of the achievement but you might try that one in case the achievement still didn't unlock after all the cars above.

No, this achievement counts for "Commandeering" a vehicle, but you do not commandeer police vehicles. Similarly, the rare special vehicles also do not count.

Super helpful, thanks!

does the police one count into the achievements?

Easy way to get credit for number 9: just get the achievement "Career Limiting Move" as soon as you complete the tutorial. You can get it on any shift by just doing some stuff in the parking lot behind the police station.

Thanks needed the news van, thought it would be just a classic van variant

Thank you! I've added it to the list.

There's also the News Van, when you jump in it still pops up with Classic Van but I believe it's separate and part of the achievement, I didn't get it after jumping in a Classic Van but upon getting the News Van I did.
