The Sims 3 Store: Ultimate Guide 2025
By TheKixg
Hello, I'm Kixg!

Welcome to my guide on The Sims 3 Store. I'll be covering the best methods of getting the content. The Sims 3 Store will inevitably shut down, making its content unavailable and potentially undownloadable for those who purchased it, much like The Sims 2 Store. It's very important that it gets preserved. There's many options out there, but this guide is meant to make the process easier so you can enjoy the amazing content that the store has to offer!

Introduction
Before we begin, it's important to understand what decrapifying is. This is a process used to remove the encryption on store content. The downside is it often breaks the content, especially premium content. Store fixes are community made patches to fix the damage.

Store fixes can be complicated to use. In my personal experience, some content would still be broken even after installing them. Luckily, some players have done the hard work for us and made the process a whole lot easier.

I'm going to go over the best two options. There are more, but these I believe are the best. Both have their advantages and it's up to you which one you want to go with.

This guide is intended to be used with game versions 1.67 (Steam) and 1.69 (EA App) on Windows. This hasn't been tested on Mac so use with caution.

Getting Started
I highly suggest using a clean install of the game, including a fresh The Sims 3 documents folder. This is to prevent any potential issues.

Decrapified vs. Non-Decrapified
What's the difference is between decrapified and non-decrapified and which one you should go with?

Decrapified

This is content that had its encryption removed, requiring store fixes to restore functionality. This is because the process of decrapifying clones the content, making the game see it as a new item separate from the original.

The downside is if you download a creation, such as a lot or household, any original store content that was used won't appear in-game. The workaround is to decrapify the creation before installing it using the TS3 Recompressor[www.moreawesomethanyou.com].

Non-Decrapified

This is content that is in its original state as EA designed it. If you were to download a creation, any original store content would still appear in-game.
How to Decrapify
If you're going to use decrapified store content, you need to decrapify any creations you download that use original store content.

Let's take for example a lot. First, download the TS3 Recompressor HERE[mega.nz].

Next, extract the .zip file and you'll see these two files:
  • s3rc.exe
  • decrapify.exe
Simply drag your .sims3pack file onto the decrapify.exe file. A command prompt will appear. Let it do its thing. When the prompt closes, you're done!

Now install the .sims3pack file like normal by double clicking it or moving it to:

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads

Then install it through The Sims 3 Launcher.
Limited Time & Pre-Order Content
The Sims 3 Store had a lot of limited time content that is no longer available. Many are fan favorites and can only be obtained using these methods.

There were also many pre-order bonuses included in the limited edition versions of Expansion Packs.

Make Me an Offer Exclusives
The Sims 3 Store has a feature called Make Me an Offer. This gives you a random set of content at a discounted price.

If you were lucky enough, you'd get one of the few exclusive items. These items are hard to find, but luckily are included in this guide.

Option 1 - The Sims 3 Store Pre-Installed by Naus
The most recent option is by Naus[nausallien.tumblr.com]. Their method uses decrapified store content. What they've done is installed the content and store fixes and released the folders with the work done for you.

The installation process is very simple and explained on their blog.

Download HERE[www.tumblr.com]

This is the easiest option as the installation process is one simple step. However, this will give you ALL of The Sims 3 Store Content, meaning it may cause performance issues. I only recommend using it if your computer can handle it.
Option 2 - Non-Decrapified Store Content by Phantom__99
My favorite method is by Phantom__99. Theirs uses non-decrapified store content. The difference with this method is it's in the form of .package files, similar to mods and custom content.

To use it, you first need a Mods folder. If you don't have one already, you can download one HERE[modthesims.info].

Extract the mods folder here:

Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3

Phantom__99 has created an organized Google Drive folder where you can either download all of the content at once or pick and choose what you want.

It's important to read their readme file which explains how to install it.

Download HERE[drive.google.com]

The benefit of this option is you can pick and choose what you want. This is recommended if your computer cannot handle all of the content at once.
Mods
As a bonus, here are some recommended mods that clean up the game's UI. They are completely optional.

No Intro with Maxis Logo[modthesims.info] - Removes the intros when launching the game. Makes loading time faster.

No ''Mod Scripts Found''[modthesims.info] - Removes the Mod Scripts Found popup when launching the game with mods installed.

Clean Main Menu[modthesims.info] - Restores the original main menu from before the Showtime patch, removing the login section and ads.

No Store Button in Buy Mode[modthesims.info] - Removes the store button from the buy mode catalog.
Conclusion
That's all there is to it! No more messing around with store fixes. These creators have done an amazing job simplifying the process. Both are great options and you can't go wrong with either one.

I hope this guide was helpful to you and if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment!

Happy Simming!

I don't have Sims 3 installed now, but I will make sure to come back here when I start playing it again, very useful!

I remember having a few original store content, but sometimes it would disappear from my game, I hope that with Phantom__99 method it doesn't happen, such a pain having to reinstall everything over and over again.
