Ok, first of all, I've done a search on Google for this particular technique, and I've not seen it yet. So I'm not sure if it was a fluke, a glitch, my game is messed up somehow, or what is going on. I'm just going to put out a little guide on how I personally got the achievement unlocked a few minutes ago on my game and here is the proof.


If this, for some reason, doesn't work on your game, please let me know in the comments, maybe it was glitched on my copy.

Ok, like many of you out there I'm sure, I didn't unlock this when I still had spires active in my game. After the second time I got shot down by those damn things, I decided that I was going to hunt them all down and destroy them immediately.

It wasn't until way after that when I noticed the achievement and figured I was screwed this game. No biggie, I like Gat out of Hell like I love all the Saints Row games, I'd just get it next time I fired it up.

Well, I was fighting an Arch Duke, grinding out some of the other challenges, when I found out I may still have a chance to get it in this game.

I was hovering over the Arch Duke, and I had just let go with a Stone Blast and was about to drop on his head and blast him with my Ultor Soulsweeper, when I noticed an Achievement/Challenge Progress alert pop up on the right hand side of my screen.

It said Top Gunner 30/50!

I thought, what the hell could that be? Did I not really have to shoot down a Spire Missile? I had toyed with the idea of trying to see if I could shoot down my own Summon Tower missiles and seeing if that worked, but I didn't have ANY summons out when I did this, and I had just zapped an Arch Duke with a Stone Blast.

So, I figured if I did it 10 more times, maybe I'd get another Progress popup.

Still Hovering over the same Arch Duke, I shot it with a Stone Blast 10 more times.

Low and behold, I did get the Progress popup, only this time it said -

Top Gunner 40/50.

This time I knew I wasn't seeing things, and I hoped that 10 more shots of Stone Blast on this very accomodating Arch Duke would see me getting Top Gunner and not having to wait till I made a new game.

10 more shots of Stone Blast and then this happened.

Honestly, I'm not sure how or why it happened. Like I said in the beginning, I don't know if the description is wrong, if my game is glitched, or if it really just means that you need to be hovering and shoot an enemy with the Blast Ability 50 times to get this Achievement.

I was so surprised that this was happening, that I didn't think to change my Blast power, to see if it was just Stone or if it was all of them. That and I didn't want to take the chance of killing the Arch Demon with Soul or Shadow Blast.

I also didn't think to get screenshots of it happening, so I appologize for that as well.

Maybe this was simply a typo in the description. But I HAVE seen YouTube guides of people shooting down a Spire Missile and getting the Achievement instantly, So I'm honestly stumped on what's going on here.

Hopefully, this little guide is of some help to you fellow Saints out there. I also probably don't have to point out that this is the FIRST guide I've ever made, so if it's lacking in professionalism and rambles a bit, I appologize again. When things like this happen to me, I tend to tell stories about it, rather than just getting to it.
