Spoilers warning! Most of the fun of getting the cryptic achievements from Domestic Dog is the sense of discovery when something finally clicks and you find out something new. So, really, this will be your one and last warning: don't read this guide if you don't want to be spoiled from the fun.

This guide is currently up to date to the following game's version:

Any big changes on the guide will be noted on the comments section.

There's a total of 32 achievements. Here they were separated according to their complexity. The ordering might not make sense for some readers, but you can always CTRL+F to find an achievement quickly.

A few useful points to remember when going for many of the achievements:

• In this guide I'll refer to the starting street (where your house is) as the main street. The Action Field is located to the left of the main street, and to the left of it you find the Farm area.
  
• For you to be able to get all the achievements, you must see as a dog, feel as a dog, become the dog. Woof woof, son. So, remember that in any situation you can use your action button, piss, bark and use chocolate poop (if bought). Most of these while sleeping too.
  
• To prevent death, you need to be healthy enough, as in, have enough stats on high count. So if you plan on getting run over out there, first fill up your sleep, hunger, thirst and happiness bars before going out, then drop a poopie near the closest hydrant in the area. Besides the hydrant, the inside of your house offers the means to fill up all of the stats mentioned, and for happiness you can hold a bouncing ball between you and a wall, which ends up being much faster than playing videogames. Pfft, videogames.

• Every level requires you to get as much experience as [your next level] x1000. So from the level 8 to level 9, you'll need 9,000 xp to level up. This can also be checked at your PUPboy.
  
• By simply being healthy enough (with the health monitor being green), you'll keep earning XP and, with time, you'll level up.
  
• The trick of continously pissing on animals getting you huge experience points was removed for the small animals (squirrel, rabbit), but not from street dogs. Although they aren't as prone to get stuck somewhere as small animals are, it's still worth noting this.
  
• Creating a new dog, depositing your starting money in the ATM and then generating a new dog to repeat the process is also a valid way to grind up some money. The card is located at the northeast corner of the main street, behind some rocks that can only be bypassed with poop. It only needs to be obtained once, as it'll be shared between dogs.
  
• Each time you reveal the Cemetery Secret, you get 100xp. This is also a quick path to grind for XP.
  
• You can get dog bucks from leveling up, randomly from digging, and doing the activities in the dog park. As of now, the easy and safest way to grind up some money is by levelling up, with its fastest route being visiting the Farm area, getting inside the rabbits' playpen, and pissing on each of the rabbits then knocking them out, which results in 300xp for each rabbit if done correctly. Re-enter the area to make them respawn, and be careful of the raccoons on the way back to your house.

• Another way to farm XP: Contract fleas and follow another dog, constantly pissing. Other dog'll keep getting fleas, you'll keep rackin' up 50 XP. — Tynon_1221
  And remember there's always dogs in the dog park!

For achievements that require you to perform an action X times, their progress can be checked on the stats screen of the PUPboy.

— Level up to 2
Should come naturally, but check the Basics section in the Introduction. Experience is gained from simply being healthy enough, by pissing on butterflies, fleas, hydrants, squirrels and rabbits, other dogs, among other things.

— Level up to 5
See Level 2 Achieved.

— Get Fleas
Fleas can be seen as a flock of black dots, and they spawn randomly on bushes or other dogs. Simply touch them to get infected.

— Visit the Vet
Make sure you're healthy to get ran over once (sleep well, eat and drink, poop, be happy, etc), then stand on the road. Or be infected with fleas and get inside via its entrance (located on the main street).

— Find a Record
The easiest ones to find are the one behind your house (near the grill) and the one inside the sewers (which can be accessed by pissing and pressing the action button on a manhole).

— Dig 50 holes
Find a digging spot and mash the action button. Easily accessible digging spots include behind your house in the main street, the Farm (left to the action field), and the graves in the church area (north of your house). Stand in-between 4 digging spots to dig 4 holes at the same time, for speedrun purposes.

— Piss on 100 objects with a single Dog
"Objects" = anything that's visually affected by your piss (as in it gets a yellow tint). The fastest way for this one is to spray your juice onto flowers, meaning the Farm area and the Woof Woods are the best places for this.

— Randomly become a certain breed of Alien Dog
Hold Escape, select New Dog, press Tab to open up the PUPboy and check if you'll be spawned as an alien: if not, generate a new dog right away; if yes, watch the egg hatching, cross your fingers and hope for a Houndeye from Half-Life to spawn. If you have all different dogs races' sound of barking memorized, you can bark right after hitting New Dog to identify its type even sooner. You'll receive the achievement right after its egg hatches.

— Generate 100 dogs
Simply hold Escape and select New Dog: once the dog's egg hatches the counter goes up by one. Press tab to check the number of dogs generated (named "Total Dogs"). There's no need to die for the counter to go up. Mantra: Hold escape, press down, press spacebar, release escape, repeat.

— Piss into a water fountain until it's filled with piss
The water fountain is located at the Dog Park. In the main street, go southwest to enter the dog park and, when you find the fountain, keep on pissing and drinking from it at the same time 4fun.

— Bark 100 times in 1 life
Mash that B key.

— Drink 10 cups of coffee with a single Dog
Each coffee costs 50 bucks, so earn 500 dosh and make some visits to the Coffee Shop at the northeast corner in the main street.

— Buy 10 pieces of art with a single Dog
The Art Gallery displays 3 pieces of art that cost 50 bucks each, and two costing 100, so get 500 dosh and go on a shopping spree for the cheapest items. The Art Gallery is located to the west of your house in the main street.

— Unbox 10 Toys with a single Dog
Each toy costs 100 bucks, so get 1000 dosh, head to the shop to the right of your house, buy a gift, come back to the house, touch the gift, and repeat.

— Eat your own poop 10 times with a single Dog
When you're missing two bars on the poop meter, you're able to poop, so go near a hydrant and poop some poopy poop. Poop. Then eat it. Get some coffee beforehand to speed up this achievement.

— Consume Dognip 10 times with a single Dog
Dognip can be found at the southeast-most corner of the Farm area, and on your lawn (requires level 3). Scratch the blue plants to make them disappear and leave some dognip behind. Do this 10 times and blaze it, dogget.

— KO 20 Rabbits with a single Dog
Go on a non-lethal takedown spree in the Action Field or in the Farm: there are plenty of defenseless rabbits to take out in those areas.

— Piss on 20 butterflys with a single Dog
The best place I found to grind this was near the Gadget Shop, across the street -- south of your house. Get inside of it (requires level 5), go outside, proceed to the right until you reach the bushes that surround the Dog Park's entrance, come back, proceed to the left of the Gadget Shop until the Vet, then back inside the Gadget Shop, then out again, always looking for appropriate targets. Rinse and repeat. You'll receive 50xp for each butterfly pissed on, and this achievement's progress can be checked oh the PUPboy.

— Earn Đ 10,000 Dog Coins
Check the Basics section in the Introduction for tips on how to get this, and make use of the ATM behind your house to transfer money between dogs. Be careful of raccoons, and if you're going for the XP path of getting money, know that reaching level 10, depositing all your money and restarting seems to be the most effective way to grind this. After you get enough money, withdraw everything from the ATM to get the achievement. If it doesn't trigger at first, get a bit more money (e.g. from digging) to get it.

— Piss on 4 turtles
Go inside the sewers. From time to time a turtle will appear running to the left of the screen. Intercept four of them with your piss, making them splash into the sewer waters, and get the achievement.

— Save a fellow dog from fleas
Just as quite a few other achievements, this is solved by pissing on something. Find a dog with fleas and follow him closely while pissing. The fleas should die after roughly 5 seconds of constant piss.

— Destroy 20 cars with a single Dog
To destroy a car, you'll need explosive poop. For explosive poop, you'll need chocolate. For chocolate, you'll need 100 dog bucks to get a 4 piece chocolate bar. That means you'll need at least 500 bucks to buy the minimum required for 20 cars. Buy chocolate (its vending machine is next to the Gadget Store, on the southwest of the main street), get on the road and dump a deuce in the way of cars, which will explode when they run over it. If you're unlucky, cars may not appear before the poop explodes (roughly 5 seconds), but don't worry, just buy some more chocolate and pray not to get run over.

— Rob the Dogfood Warehouse
The warehouse is to the right of your house. Hug the factory's door and press the action button at the late night (from 11pm to 3am). After going in, carefully proceed to the end by dodging all the traps (that instantly kill you) and you'll find food barrels + a disc. Now touch a barrel to drop it, and it's time to go back while pushing it. Try to get more than one barrel at the same time, and do all that you can not to bump a barrel onto a forever-on shock tile. Also watch your sleep meter: you don't want to suddenly take a nap at the wrong spot. Most of it all, be patient. Every time you access the warehouse a new layout with a different set of traps is generated, so luck might play a big role in you getting this achievement. My advice is to create a new dog, eat some food, use the hydrant outside and go for a try; this always gives you at least two tries per dog if you don't recharge your stats between failures.

— Discover the secret of Woofy Woods
Just like most of the other obstacles in this game, you'll solve this one by pissing! Use this powerful skill on the flowers in the center of the screen: then ones that turn purple from the effect of your masterful ability will point the right way into the woods. After 7 screens you'll get to the end and find a gift + a disc, and be awarded the achievement.


— Discover the secret in the cemetery
From your house, go north until you go through a gate, you'll end up on the Church area. From there, find a tombstone with "b 5" written on it (which is urine-proof), then bark in front of it 5 or 6 times. This makes the tombstone move, revealing a secret area that contains a disc and roller skates. The tombstone is randomly spawned: if you don't find it, exit the area and re-enter.

— Get roller skates
There are 3 known locations to get roller skates: the underground area on the cemetery (see Cemetery Secret), in front of the Dog Arcade (only appears when you're level 2), and the cave in the Action Field. To access the latter, you'll need to buy chocolate and to land a poopie EXACTLY DIRECTLY SPECIFICALLY in front of a crack in the background wall for it to open.

— Urinate on 10 ghost dogs with a single dog.
Ghost dogs can be found on the cemetery/church area, during the night. They start appearing at midnight, and disappear at around 5AM, which is quite the tight time window. If you're lucky, you can get 2 of them at once near each other to blast away, just make sure you have enough fuel to squirt your lemon juice on them and be careful not to touch one, as they drain your sleep, thirst and hunger bars on touch. Make use of the Cemetery Secret to ease up this challenge and make faster trips between the cemetery and your house for a quick recovery.

— Find 5 Records
Hurray for music. There is a total of 7 records in the game, 2 of them starting with you. The number of records is shared between dogs, so leave this achievement for last and you won't even need help getting it. Here are the locations of each of the 5 collectable records:
• Behind your house, near the digging spots and the grill;
• In the sewers. Find a sewer manhole and piss on it to open it up;
• In the secret cemetery underground. See Cemetery Secret for more info;
• Inside the side mountain secret in the Action Field. Check Roller Rover for more info;
• At the end of the Woof Woods. Check Woof Woods Secret for more info.

— Score 100 points in the Dig Dog Arcade Game
The easiest of the minigames' scores to achieve. Avoid lava tiles at all costs and be attentive to dead ends formatted by rock tiles. Take your time and grab all bones in your way. This mini-game is located in the sewers and requires 10 coins per play.

— Score 100 points in the Bonemuncher Arcade Game
Pac-man clone-ish, with saws that move unreliably instead of ghosts. Keep distance from the saws and always remember that they can turn a corner instantly or not at all. Bones respawn after a certain time. This mini-game can be accessed inside the Game Arcade and requires 10 coins per play.

— Score 100 points in the Squares Arcade Game
This mini-game can be accessed inside the Game Arcade and requires 10 coins per play. With small and big squares coming at you, it may seem tricky to reach this highscore, but it's quite easy if you remember that you can fit in a space of the size of a small square. Try not to move around too much and just be patient.

— Score 100 points in the Astrodog Arcade Game
This mini-game can be accessed inside the Game Arcade and requires 10 coins per play. Pay attention to the speed that you shoot your projectiles, as there's a limit of 5 of them at the same time at the screen. Good luck!
